There was complaint about spam before even when this was on topic, now spammophiles are coming in droves to pat each other on the back and get attention. If you don't have anything constructive to say in regards to the thread, don't post.

This is pointless. Oluvai, I asked you to go to the spam forum with this junk, but you insist on dragging it out and ruining what could've been a productive forum topic. Just go ahead and lock it down Evan, or any other mod for that matter. We're not getting anywhere here.

Actually, Hiorka, when you see quoted text in one of my posts, it's not me speaking, it's me hitting reply. Meaning, someone else said something. Certainly you can't want anyone else to be able to speak, but have no reply made. Meaning, if you don't like, hush because when I have nothing to reply to, I can't hit reply. It's an amazing thing.

Shutting someone else up requires you to have discipline first.

And, I am the one who asked the mod abuse portion of that thread be moved to a distinctly different thread so it would not pollute the other. Thanks is fine.

Well, let me see. In the very first post of this thread, the very first post YOU wrote on this topic, you quoted text from a writer named "Routhy" who announced the ban of Stinky and that he'd taken that action. Thus, even before you wrote what you wrote, you actually SAW what you wrote was false.

This is a fact, right? No one playing E4 banned Stinky. No one who banned Stinky attacked Stinky. You have it in YOUR post. And, Routhy was kind enough to reply to you in the thread that he did the banning and he isn't playing E4.

Amazing proof, ain't it?

Now, I've taken the time to answer your question. You owe the same courtesy to me. How come having SEEN AND QUOTED Routhy in your initial post, did you accuse ANOTHER person of bad action when you knew he wasn't the person who took action in the first place?

Please also read Routhy's post in this thread on the second page about halfway down.

And, Hiroka, notice, this is me hitting reply.

Uh oh, I got an interesting fact for you guys (and no, Kane, Spam doesn't make me want to... you know =P):

Juniors and Regular Moderators can not hand out banishments from the game or forums, they can warn people and from the 2nd warning the warnings are sent to a senior moderator who is to decide whether the warnings in question are correct and whether they deserve the person in question a ban. It usually takes 2 moderators to ban a person, seeing the fact most Senior Moderators do not hand out warnings on the forum actively. This is a case where it required 2 moderators if I am correct.

All Junior Moderators (like Routhy) are under surveillance of Harvester, Gene, Andrew and Hero. All Senior Moderators are under surveillance of Steven.

If a Junior Moderator abuses his moderator powers, well, there are at least 4 people who are going to be biting him in the butt. =)

And if any of them are alarmed, Seth gets to do his thing.

Which basically means, someone's getting fired xD

Sorry guys, but this thread was BS the second it started.

Close it and keep some dignity.

The ban was approved by multiple regular and senior mods, and backed by a good handful of junior mods - the opinion of all online mods at the time was unamimously agreed with the ban.

As I've stated, the ban was lifted on a technicality, and Gaurav, who is bound by the staff code of conduct, cannot (and did not) pass judgement for a ban in a situation that he is personally involved in.

I'd rather not have to repeat myself, guys.

now isnt that the greatness of these forums? you post something and no one takes the time to read it. but when you repost something you get in trouble for double posting and ppl actually read it :)

Haha, yeah I suppose, but double posting is back to back posts.

Routhy did not say he had been responsible for the ban until later in this thread, and his original comment was vague enough for one to have doubts as to who had taken action on this ban. It was an ambiguous statement, not proof.

If the ban had come from Routhy then there could have been reason to be suspicious, as Routhy had also been playing E4 earlier in the round. While outlandish, stinky could have done something while Routhy was playing that rubbed him the wrong way and caused him to seek revenge, and that would have been cause to investigate. However, marissasdad did not accuse anyone, he simply asked that if any such rumor were true, that it be looked into. So why condemn him for a question? Again, not proof.

You speak of courtesy, yet launch tirades against others based on your own misunderstandings... how courteous.

You were in fact the first one to start all this accusation. Until your last post on page two, all comments had been speculation and general questioning with few clear answers, but then you had to claim marissasdad was "accusing" a mod and it all trickles downhill from there. So far you've got a lot of speculation with no proof, so are you starting to realize how your situation is surprisingly like marissasdad's.

Oluvai wrote:

Your previous post in regards to mine was completely off the mark, and responding to it would be off the topic at hand. If you wish to continue speaking against me as you have been, do so on the spam board or expect no response.

*******************************************************

Also, while I know you don't want to repeat yourself, Routhy, I think a simplified list of what's been established as fact (by the mods who actually have inside information, rather than the community & it's rumors) would aid in eliminating a lot of these "tail-chasing" questions.

A list such as;

Who filed the complaint, why, who banned stinky, and who was NOT responsible that is being unfairly labeled (that you know of).

So if you could Routhy, or if another mod would like to do so, it would prove useful to have such a list arranged all in one spot. Also, a few of the Senior mods commenting about this approval of the ban would be helpful in quashing further questioning.

I think it was a wrong person (Mupt member) at the wrong time (middle of a war :?) scenario, but proof is what is needed, not thoughts.
