Weight is only frustrating for "Timmy" players. Players of strategic minds need constraints in order to play against those constraints. Constructing a great mech out of garbage parts that still fit within the parameters of: enough HP, enough heat capacity, enough cooling, enough energy regeneration, enough energy capacity, enough damage output, enough resistance, enough movement, and
1000 WEIGHT is the reason that constructing your mech is half the battle. It makes it interesting. Weight classes and weight balancing of certain parts has been suggested, which is reasonable. Getting read of weight entirely kind of defeats the point of the game in the first place.
If you are REALLY frustrated with weight constraints, you can go ahead and buy a boatload of tokens, spend them on mythics, and then you will see that the whole point of weight is that mythicals are more efficient than legendaries are more efficient than epics are more efficient than rares are more efficient than whites. Weight efficiency creates our ranking caste system in a way that is tactically fun and financially responsible for the developers.
