Im bored, so i decided to share my personal tips when using heat mechs, here we go!

1. Heat is important

You would want as much heat capacity and lessen the chance of an action point being used for cool down. That said, You would also want to have as much action points to do combo attacks such as a lava spray combo, this will make your opponents heat high and make it easier for you to double cool down them.

2. Cooling is also important

You will very likely face other heat mechs in a ladder battle, that said you would want to cool down as much as you can and make it harder for your opponent (thats also using a heat mech) to make you cool down again on his/her next turn. Recommended cooling for a heat mech is 90-100's

3. Time your attacks

Strategy is very important to heat mechs as you would want to add as much heat damage to cooldown your opponent as much as possible. To do this, i recommend letting your opponents heat increase, first by using your weapons that use the least heat damage, then when yout opponents heat bar is flashing red, go ahead and use your high heat damage weapon such as the infernal axe. That way, there's a better chance that it will double cool down them.

4. At least have some weapons that don't use energy

Most commonly, high ranking players (such as me) may use heat mechs will have some weapons that use energy. So if your one of them, read carefully. A good way to counter energy mechs is to use drones and weapons that don't energy. I use a rear hit heat mark, firewall and sector eye drone just in case im matched up with an energy mech. I usually use all three items until my opponents heat is flashing red, that way i can use my energy kit and use my highest heat damage weapon (im my case, its a lava spray) and hope that their mech will double cool down. Which is fairly common with energy mechs

5. Choosing the right torso

Most people get wrong when building a heat mech is torsos. The torsos i recommend are:
- lava scope
- hellfire armor
- electron defence
- god mode
- diamond shell
- yoshimo x
-ultraspade (maybe)
-usa mark I

For non mythicals
- spider
- vulcano
- galaxus model B

These torsos will either have good cooling, resistance or heat capacity. Some will have more than one.

PRO TIPS

Push/pull combos

This is a good way to keep your opponent's heat high while maintaining a good distance from your opponent. Resistance drainers are very useful in these types of builds since it will help with the damage of the weapons your using. Heres some examples of weapons useful for this combo

- heat piercing shotgun and adv.heat orb cannon
- heat piercing shotgun and red rain
- firewall and backstabber mark II
- firewall and rear hit heat mark

Lava spray combos

One of the most useful attacking methods on super mechs is the lava spray combo. This method of attack requires at least 2 lava sprays and lots of heat capacity so you don't need to cool down very often, especially if you need to perform an attack combo. a combo of 2 lava sprays does devastating heat damage as well as cooling damage. Allowing you to double cool down your opponents with ease

These are good tips, but aimed at the wrong audience. Most of us here on the forums are either top players or generally very experienced at the game.
Also, you could expand more and explain the synergy between heat weapons such as push/pull combos

I disagree with one of the torsos. Ultraspade has really good energy, where you don't have to worry about it too much. All you really need is an Electron Field and you should be fine. Now you have the ability to put good heat modules on this mech, and top it off with armor plating.

This is why people (used to) use Ultraspade for their heat mechs. Back then it was undoubtedly the most useful torso in the game.

Ultraspade lacks hit points and resistance. And not good for long battles. But useful if using weapons that use energy

Before the release of the new mythicals, Ultraspade heat builds were the king of the arena. If properly used, and Ultraspade heat build can still get you up in top ranks. That, and while being extremely useful for an energy mech.

You cannot judge the meta by its look. With the right modules you can make an outstanding Hellfire energy mech. I have been playing long enough to know this fact better than most.

An item built for the opposite purpose can work better than a part that was built for this purpose, because then you don't have to worry about failure in specific categories of what the total machine will go up against.
