I understand this, however im pretty sure he does test them at least once. I have also noticed the best strategies of battling has been completely obscured due to these weapons such as double novas, and double needles. These were my favourite ways of battling, but now due to this OP Axe/Hammer thing I cannot battle using electric mechs, due to this! Thank you for making it more clear as well!
I cannot agree more with this statement. Those Double-Trouble weapons are a pain for anyone who hasn't got a lot of mythicals, and especially when they aren't the ones that are considered OP now. Even if there's a mythical prize at the end of a 3-week daily login stretch, new and more powerful weapons are chugged out before one can even reach that Day 21 prize.
What I may add to this is that all of these new builds consist of mostly mythicals, especially the weapons. Even a rank 1 with high heat cooldown (100+ cooldown) cannot compete with these new Lava Sprays/Infernals. Or that same rank 1 with high energy regen (100+ regen) can compete with an electric shotgun that deals 80 energy damage but at the same time just chips off 5 energy from the user. The differentials are just too large. Or when 600+ HP physical mechs get wiped out by a couple of Armor Breakers and Needles.
One can say that, "Oh, those Lava Sprays can be only used twice, so it's no big deal." But when you have essentially 180 Heat damage hurled at you in one turn (because really you gain 80 Heat damage and lose 10 Heat from your maximum capacity, so it's basically 90 Heat damage), there is almost no escape from the person using it. Combined with that Infernal Axe and it's another RIP. Same goes with that electric shotgun/giga feet that can be used twice.
These new mythicals just lay waste to any prior builds that used to work, without having a fighting chance. Only a mythical mech that essentially is a mirror image of the other (ex. spray/axe vs. spray/axe) can bring uncertainty to who would win. And that uncertainty brings excitement, which keeps people playing the game.
Wouldn't be surprised if that Mr. Smiley thing actually becomes.... a thing.
