I feel your struggle Spikey. I've been there too many times. Im out of a clan at the moment so I'll slowly reach to where you are
The fact of the matter is that non-mythical mechs (even with max fusion, or even with some mythicals) will have
immense difficulty being a top player. There just too many people with a lot of very good mythicals that outclass pretty much everything.
Sounds like you're in what I call "the hole". Basically a point in gameplay where no matter how good your mech is, no matter how high your fusion is, you simply cannot get back on your feet.
There will forever be hope and solutions to this problem, luckily. Here are what I've found to be useful. Anyone should be able to do any of these given enough time. and effort.
1. Key abuse. Making alternate accounts to use your own key and get the box reward. You can get 3 silver boxes every 45 days using this method. Which isn't bad, only problem is you need to play on the alternate account until it's level 30 (I think). I suggest saving the tokens you receive via achievements and leveling up to buy premium accounts. Twice the experience received, half the time it takes to get to level 30. Kinda against the rules, everyone does it anyway.
2. Invitation to a top clan (or if you have medals or some recognition or status in the community, make your own clan). Invitation is the quickest way to get mythicals. Problem is you need to be good, extremely active (like going for a medal #RyanRamos #1300Wins #400Losses) lucky, or a combination of all three. Making your own clan to get to top 3 is a... please excuse me... a hell of an endeavor. Takes a lot of time to get the perfect, most active players for the job. Note that in order to pull a top 3 you'll need at least 10,000+ wins in one week, or 455 wins per player in one week.
3. Spending money on tokens for gold boxes. Quickest, easiest, and most expensive way of getting mythicals. All circumstantial sadly, as not every player can spend large sums of money on this game. Also involves a
ton of luck if you can only do micro-payments, like myself. Really comes down to how much you can spend, and when. I bought an $8 token package and got Red Rain in the first gold box, the week it came out. Helped me a
lot. Still does today. If you feel like it would be a waste of money, thats your opinion. I feel like Im supporting the game and helping it develop and become better for everyone.
Good luck!
