What if there was a module that would add to your mech's max weight?
That way, people can have heavier weapons and stuff, but at the cost of a module slot. The added weight wouldn't be much, though. Maybe you can only have one equipped, or something. Like the resistance modules. This would be a nice thing to have, especially if there's a case when you only need a bit more weight. And, perhaps they could have a downside, so you dont just always pick the best one, such as a - to absorption.
I was thinking it would be called something like "Lift Module".

Lift module 1: +5 weight capacity -2% absorption

Lift module 2: +8 weight capacity -3% absorption

Lift module 3: +13 weight capacity -5% absorption

Lift module 4: +18 weight capacity -7% absorption

Lift module 5: +25 weight capacity -8% absorption

Lift Module 6:+35 weight capacity -11% absorption

Lift Module 7: +50 weight capacity -15% absorption

Lift Module 8: +65 weight capacity -19% absorption

Mega Lift: +100 weight capacity -20% absorption

Ultra Lift: +125 weight capacity -22% absorption

I'd have to say no since weight acts as an equaliser between those who have played a long time and the newer players.

if the most exp players could equip as many high level mythicals as they wanted you'd have an army of unbeatable physical mechs

you can only have one weight module equipped, thus making it impossible to have as much weight you want.
