Hmm... Maybe more consistent melee damage that has a lower average than the swords?

Or maybe even lower melee damage than stomp or swords but it inflicts armor damage?

Of course you could always take the weapon's use as a tool one step further. A melee weapon you turn on when you have an opponent pinned in place. The weapon itself becoming "unavailable" while it automatically deals damage at the beginning or end of your turn.

I say ya some are less damage like maybe 5 physical resistance drain or 164-220 and 1 use i like your suggestion
