Why don't we clean up the chat in general? A quick fix to this is making a clan requirement chat, for people who need more members in their clan.

Another thing is to hire chat mods, with capabilities of the following ~
1. Chat Banning (For a preset time, maybe, 10 minutes for the first time) This is used for people who aren't speaking the correct language in a chat, and are spamming.
2. Chat Muting (For a preset time as well, but instead of speaking the wrong language they were just be obnoxious).
3. Chat Redirecting (For a preset time) The moderator can move anyone to a different chat.
4. Spam Warning (For Spammers of any kind) The moderator can give out spam warnings. Too many warnings means banned from any chat for a day or so.

Anyways, I honestly wouldn't have an issue supporting this, however, there has been no word on what will occur on the SM chat yet.

Sorry, but if we do add mods at some point, we won't add mods simply because they're requested/voted on.

We don't do so for the forum mods, for the BD World Admins and certainly wouldn't do so for SM Game Mods/Admins.

The reason is that being popular doesn't mean you're good... Staff has to make difficult decisions, it's not a popularity contest. We hire people (for any position) who have proven to be reliable and have proven to work - to us. And who of course fit the job in question.

I absolutely agree with this. Even if mods are added, there's no way I should be one. Whether I'm worthy or not, it would cause an outrage with other players and cause a massive series of others wanting to become mods. It would be a really bad scenario.

Oh, and I knew what this post was about right when I saw the title.
Kind of a dead giveaway, don't you think? xD
