To put it simply: Look at forum rules, don't use blue/red, and public accusations are not allowed as you said. Hope this helped. :)

Then I am confused. Why are no warnings issued for things said in this thread? Are certain accusations okay? I really want to make sure that I am following the rules but it is hard when it is not clear what they are.

Because, as the devs said, they will only issue bans if it is absolutely necessary. :)

So breaking the rules is okay? I really need some clarification from devs/admins. Is it okay if I start making accusations about other players in public? There are plenty of public accusations in this very thread but no warnings issued. :?

Honestly, both sides are guilty at some point. Ironically, their fates are kinda locked together. If they both keep pushing to get each other banned, the likely scenario will be for both to be banned. BOTH have done wrong along the way on this. We have gotten involved on multiple occasions and asked both sides to simply ignore one another. If they wish to continue this silly game of back and worth, they are welcome to. We can see much more than I believe you guys think ;)

I don't mean for this to sound offensive but it probably will anyway.

Please don't tease us with promises that the rules will be enforced unless they actually will be. Rules are routinely broken on the forum and in game with absolutely no consequence. I don't care to debate the politics behind why this is the case but you are an admin and I'm certain you are well informed on that topic and have your own opinions.

I would love to see the rules of this game enforced. I've literally begged for that very thing on this forum and to devs in private in the past. The situation is what it is but, like I said, please don't tease us. As Yoda would counsel, "Do or do not..."

I am not an admin. I am a forum moderator. I have no authority over the game, only on the forums.

And if you wish to see the rules enforced here, it would (as i said) result in both being banned (in game and on forums, they are interconnected). We have provided both sides with their options and they seem to have both chosen what they want to do with it. We have heard from both sides that both are continuously harassing one another. There is no such thing as only 1 being banned in this scenario. Neither one of them are silly enough to escalate things to a level of being "banned". So instead, we get constant small harassment complaints from both when the ONLY thing either side has to do is block the other. They continue though. We can only assume they actually love one another as neither wants to stop hearing from the other apparently

And as for the forums, we have locked many many many a topics already. The result is that you all continue to make more with the same things. If they wish to continue to call one another out, they can. When things escalate too much, us mods are here to moderate.

I can assure you, we do know our jobs. But there is also such a thing as over moderation which makes forums boring. Little trash talk is not only good, but entertaining. We just won't let you cross the line ;)

I suggest you take a zero tolerance approach from today forward. Everyone has been appropriately warned and if they fail to heed those warnings, ban them. Obviously I have a bias toward one side of this issue and I'm asking you to ban both sides if they continue. Let continued and persistent infractions that don't individually rise to the level of ban become ban-worthy in their totality. And it's not just the back and forth attempts at public shaming. There is a lot more that goes on, and I know you know what I am talking about, that should result in in-game bans.

I'm willing to live with this game being the lawless wild-west. I'm fine with ignoring people that I don't wish to interact with. But what drives me nuts is the occasional "we're here to enforce the rules and make the game fair for everyone" rhetoric with no follow-through. Again, this is probably coming off more insulting than I intend it and I'm not directing it solely at you, Malice, especially because you haven't been knee-deep in this crap for as long as some people have.

Also, don't lump other people in with "you all". If you look at the starter of most threads on this forum that become offensive you will find a staggeringly small number of people started them. Furthermore, that's why I would love to see the rules enforced to the letter. There exists the perception that certain people are allowed to do whatever they please while others are bound by these "rules". What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Either stop everyone from breaking the rules or stop no one. I really hope you (as a group) choose the former.

The above speaks to your trash talking comment as well. Either let no one do it or let everyone do it equally. The moderation that has taken place in this forum to-date does not reflect that. Again, I've learned to live with this reality and all I'm asking for is either don't claim it is otherwise or actually make it otherwise.
