Lazar does have valid point. If your playing your @ss off and use only one ip per person against 10/9 players with one that has the opportunity and permission to use 2 accounts from same ip addresses, who knows if its 1 or 2 people using/sharing both accounts and depending on how many accounts sharing the same ip address could offer significant advantage.

The rest Ill leave it alone because its suspect

perfectly reasonable. But with that being said, you can also look at it from another perspective. You could actually be playing against 20 players due to multiple people one 1 account using different IPs. It would never become suspect as multiple IPs aren't uncommon. I log in at work, from home, at my parents house, and even on the road using random wifi's via my phone. This is of course playing devil's advocate here. Easiest way to deal with this one case is simple. Ban one colony, leave the other. Let the player himself choose which to keep and of course, perm ban if repeat offense occurs.

And as I said before, sometimes I wish we were like the koreans. Have to use social security in order play games, eliminating multi accounts. Would be so much easier T_T

However, there was not the same IP...
We have some more tools and we can collect more data.
If 2 players would have logged into the game from 1 ip and that without any notice and that in CE, you can be sure that they would have been banned before tick 25.

I wish we could find a middle way, just like Malice said: Enjoy a social game, play with friends and family without the fear of getting banned or accused in public.
Fact is, we have not (yet)

For now, all I can do is have a very close look on CE and always suspect that players with "family" markers COULD cheat. The good thing is, they are very limited. I have more players on other eras as on CE.
Unfortunately or fortunately (???) many siblings don't play that well to have spots in top alliances. Those are hmmmmm, I think only 4 players.
As soon as we nag on them to verify their accounts and add restrictions, one out off 2 will leave the game. Same goes with schools and so on. I could sometimes bite myself in the a.. rm when I have to ban an alliance and it turns out that they tried the game in school and are real people and I still can't allow them to play :/

How can a game grow when it is like this??

well the answer here sounds easy to me...correct me if i m wrong...

ask before u ban...talk, get a reply and then judge /ban. Investigate before you punish-not the other way around.

I understand Admin job is not easy and i am sure i would not have done it better than how it is now done...just saying what sounds logical to me.

u see clene, he said he was done with people holding friendships over his head. he spams EVERYONE now.
