I tend to make my conquerors regret conquering me... except for that one guy who conquerd me on my first world ever (I lasted a good 200 ticks pretty good for a noob at the time especcially since I joined late) he took my first crystal ever then turned vacation mode on and deleted a month later with my crystal and 4 others... that pissed me off I was ready to liberate myself
But enough about me I agree something should be done however there is not much that can be done people teend to think they are "looseing" when conquerd (not entirely the case) and then give up cause no one likes looseing

Here's my view, the one from a new player.
The game is somewhat hard to understand when you start out. The tutorial etc help a lot, and the forum too. But there are a lot of people that don't look on the forums for alliances.
Starting recourses aren't that high, and even when taking down the starting defense it's hard to come around for a newbie. I've played a bit in 6 different worlds now, and in 5 I've been conquered 3 or 4 ticks after giving up protection.
The problem is that inexperienced players don't know what to expect. One enemy used a portal. Another used a training base near me. How should I know what those things are for?!
And at first I thought that being conquered was the end of the game. After browsing the forums I found out it's not, but waiting for 72 ticks is long. And I don't have the resources to build a decent army, so I don't know if I even succeed.

Hey I know that... but some players just don't attend the forums.
I know a game with 30.000 active players, and just 200 of them are active on the forums. So not many people will notice they can get a mentor.

We're going to be expanding the tutorial and giving an optional "Advisor" which will give more goals to complete once the initial tutorial is finished or skipped and give some direction. Also the Help system is finished and should be opened over the weekend which will be a big help to new players.
Another idea that we'll hopefully get to implement in the near future is a training/newbie server which will have some server controlled colonies on it to simulate attacks on players and allow newbies to place their colony and try out the game before they get to the real servers. These worlds would have a very large amount of starting resources to allow players to get a feel for all the structures and features open to them.

Yeah...I actually have 23 conquers on E3 but like 6 of them are on vacation and not one has rebelled at yet.

-Andrew I want to see one say: Now construct 20 nukes and start spamming your conqueror with them to piss him off.
