I think nerfing the sword was a good decision. Normally while stuck in a corner I would be afraid to initiate first, because they would just hit me with a sword then stomp me away putting me at a disadvantage. Now swords have been nerfed, this doesn't happen, so you won't find yourself stuck in a corner fighting with drones.

I agree... but I'll miss my swords.

Maybe the better way to fix the corner huggers would have been to simply take out the corners altogether.

One thing people really need to learn is how to use shields at a higher level I think. Not sure how you could get the message across to players. I'm fighting at level 22 now though and at the old level 22 you didn't have to worry about equipping energy modules to keep your shield up. Now at level 22 you need 3 or 4 heat modules if you're wanting to keep a heat shield up.

Yes, with 85% damage absorbed. You can get it with the item box and lot of luck.

Yawn, because I pitty you all for hating the game so much, here's some tips if you haven't worked them out already. Level 1 legs are worth 100 credits. They reward 5 power every fusion. If you manage to build a build you like this will speed up your fusion a lot as it is the cheapest way of doing fusion. If after every win you use the credits you won to buy 20-25 legs and use them in fusion it doesn't take up too much time and you start building up the power level on your mech.

For those who say fusion is pointless, think like this. On a competitive game I get about 15 turns (if not more). Each turn you get to use 2 weapons. Right now I get +4 on all my weapons.

So +4 and another +4 per turn is +8 damage. For 15 turns that +120 extra damage than I would normally do without any fusion at all. You can't possibly say fusion is pointless now (however laborious), when it's clearly worth it :)

If you aren't level 30 yet, you can work on fusion however don't bother buying Item boxes. Work heavily on fusion until you reach level 30. Once you've reached level 30 start buying item boxes to build a stronger mech. Because you've already been working on fusion, once you've found those rare items you like that fits in your build, fuse one of the weapons you were previously working on. That way your new lvl 30 weapon will already gain a couple power levels straight away ^_^

Also when building a mech, don't look at a weapon and compare it to the old version of SM. Lots of the weapons stats have changed, so actually take time to look at their stats and work out which ones best suit your build. Also get use to using shields that are going to use a lot of energy and heat. Understand you're going to need more heat/energy modules than you're probably used to (I know most the old high level players will be use to this already).

I know this isn't as good as the old way, where you could buy rare items, however playing the game this way is the most efficient way of doing things I think :)

If you are seriously listening.....?

Listen to this.....

Remove ALL of the new "patch'!!

I mean really... Way to pissss off most all of your advanced and long time players.

I think its clear this has nothing to do with the interest of making it better matching or any altruistic notion..

This is about MONEY!

The way it is setup now forces you to buy bundled packages to randomly hope you get a good weapon. Where as before it could be earned through the merits of the game i.e. BATTLING and winning money to work toward buying those weapons. Weapons that you knew what you were getting

I had earned my way up to level 95 with over 2 MILLION tokens. Without ever spending real money. I would much rather pay a monthly subscription and have the ENTIRE new patch removed!!!

Before this "New Patch" I use to play Super Mech almost everyday. I hate everything to do wit this new patch so much I will not play Super Mech or have anything to do with it other than to see if they figured out what a horrible idea this whole patch is.

I will find another game online to take the place of Super Mech that respects its current users. This big of a change should have been described in detail and VOTED on by the users before just slapping it on in an update....

also, the rare, epic and legendary are available just through boxes....and they are expensive....hope you will not let it that way. just the fusion core is cool....the rest...NO.

The costs for the item boxes belongs to your player level. With an high level they are of course more expensive than at the begin.

O.K. a bad idea so now what ??? I have "fused all my rare items and for what? Man I am not looking forward to how this all plays out because I have invested so much of my time into this game and I don't see it ending good or fare at all. I am so hurt by all of you.

Sorry to hear that you don't like it at all.

Dantesinferno wrote:
You know there are real people behind these mechs and you guys just seem to not care about that at all.

We care about all of you and thats why we started to work on this update in the first place. Most of you weren't able to find any opponent on your player level in a reasonable time and used therefore other mechs on lower levels. This was really boring after some time as there was no progress anymore and no achievement in leveling up.

Filipas wrote:
lets call it for now, ok? i m sure that many players knows that the old game was better, and yes, this is beta, they are experimenting, and we must point what is wrong and what is good.

YES! Please feel free to point out what is wrong at any time!
Nothing is set in stone here and we will change what needs to be changed. But also, give yourself and the new update some time to get used to it. Maybe even play the game as 'new player' to see how it looks to you from this point of view.

1. I had 5 mech before, but since i was lvl86, i'm now lvl30 and all my 4 other mechs became obselete.
2. The items i had, all gave only 10 points in fusion core, regardless of their rarity or level. If i'd buy common item from store, i can get even more fusion points out of those than i did got from my current items.
3. Item box costs too much to be affordable. 189,855 for 1 box? Really? And only 1% of a change to get rare, epic or legenday item from it.
4. Upgrading items take way too much money. And after each upgrade level, the fusion points you need for next upgrade level is doubled. Not to mention the pitiful upgrade bonus per upgrade level.
5. All weapons will do fixed amount of damage. No more min or max damage anymore.
6. Cash award for winning is also reduced. 2,450 for winning a battle at lvl30, really? Basically, income has been reduced while expenses have been increased.

I have seen countless of changes in online games, but this is probably one of the worst ones i've ever seen.
Right now, i have no desire to play SM anymore. Too much has gone wrong here lately.

1. why did they became obsolete?
2. we'll take a look. I am not sure of the power level of existing weapons (before the update) can be changed tho
3. Like I said before, the costs belongs to your player level
4., 5., and 6. We wil take a look there too and balance it if needed.

Once again: give it some time. I know that this was a huge change and its not that easy to get used to it when you played SM for a long time.
Feel free to comment here and state your opinion whats good and whats bad and we will see where improvements and tweaks are needed / most wanted.

edit: I heard that a bug sneaked into the cost of the item box on level 30. Sorry for that! Its changed now to the right amount (25% of the previous)

You are still not 'forced' to buy item packs with tokens. You have the option to do it.
We know that this would change a lot. Thats why we announced an upcoming patch note days before we updated the game.
As much as I love to have the community taking part in future updates, a voting for updates is not possible.
Our devs were working on this for weeks and like any other free to play game, it can only continue to be free to play when there are players who like the game and want to support it with money as well.
A monthly fee or any kind of subscription fee is not possible at all for a casual game like Supermechs. You would fight always against the same players and stop playing because of this.

There will be a lot balancing in the next days and we'll also have a look into the winning rewards and power gained by fusion.

But where is the sense to making the item pack much more expensive with higher lvl? The Money that every mech earn in low lvl and high lvl duel is the same. So, making the item pack more expensive is a big mistake and will Crash the whole game.
