Hello everyone! well, i just got an  and though i would share it after questioning some on the forums about their opinions so here we go and get it official!

"Drone Carriers"

Q: What do you mean with this? D:
A: Simply put, a mech hull part that will focus on few slots for weapons but allowing several drones!
"ex. 1 side slot, and 3 drone slots"

Q: Why would we want that? We all like swords!?
A: Well some of us don't, and we would like to see some more ranged combat, even if the battlefield right now is limited, and there is ranged + knockback-builds, some might rather want to have a few drones to pew pew their enemy while trying to avoid his next move and attack :D

So what we would want to achive is to see how people can evolve defensive tactics to improve how to avoid damage. Drones have unlimited range so it will not matter where you go on the battlefield, you will be able to shoot.
At level 20 (as an example) a weapon deals average 25-55 damage, and a drone deals 20-40.
So to make this work, drones will be very strong and the hull would probably have low health due to that you will have several weapons with high hitrate, range and damage.

So to make this easy, who do even would like to see these on the battlefield? (to see if it's even worth adding and balancing)

Best regards from the Swedish 31stDrone!

Voted no, could see this being easily overpowered. Sit in a corner and use weapons with long pushback.

yes from me.. as long as they find a way to nerf it a little bit so the game stays fair to all styles etc...

You can already do this without using drones, so it wont change much in this part, and if you got 2 guns with 1-2 pushback, then you would be able to have more control than a Carrier that got 0-1 gun(s) that would have to rely on movement.

Would be more like you have one drone of each and "heating drones" if you now would like to try that^^

Tripple laser pointer
Flipmix
Red cruiser

:P but you might now want to overheat yourself if you got a carrier hull with low heat and health.
It's more of a weapon of choice idée, if people want it then it's going to be balanced like everything else, right?

It would not work as well as this since drones have unlimited range, yes normally you can use long push back weapons but they do not have unlimited range. With this you could simply push them back and do a large amount of damage each turn.

Maybe a player could have multiple drones, but only 1 can attack each turn? The player decides on which one they would attack after they used up their two turns ( an added third turn just for drone use only)? That way a player wont be getting blaster by 4 or more attacks before their turn begins.
