It does make a sound. It's just that the sound could not be recorded. The action of the tree falling has been shown to make sounds in the past, and will make sounds even if no one is there to observe the sound.

An egg can't survive without a parent, so therefore the Chicken had to exist first. It is possible that the egg came first with mutated DNA then hatched as a "chicken" but who cares honestly? The chicken came to existence because of a set of favored traits of survival over the span of millions of years.
