Adv. military scan for *** colony
Laser 26% plasma 33% torpedoes 40%
total 45(~25% accuracy)
< so what should i attack with? i pick my squads in this manner : since fighters and plasma are both effective against frigates, i put them both and recruit range:armour on a 3:1 ratio. i have a total of 14~16 squads(cant remember exactly) with me(of different chassis and weapon combinations)>
-------------------
thanks in advance

1) Take a few more scans, there not 100% accurate. I take 4, as there 25%.

Well also take a plain military scan so you can see if they are inf, veh, or tanks.

So dont send heavies, as they have 40% tornadoes, inf would probably be the best. Ranged Inf.

FIrst of all, maxattacks advice isn't very good. Don't take 4 scans. That's just a huge waste of energy...

Secondly, only attack if you're guarenteed to win with very few losses. You don't want to go into battle if you are unsure you will win...

And lastly, pick a chasis you like and stick to building only that. Building different chasis puts you at a disadvantage...

Scans are a huge waste of time and energy. I usually just send spams to the target first. Wears down any shield and you can know exactly what units they have.

it should be inf (or fighter or watever it is)

and dyl is right, just send a spam there and peek at their units...

then run a battle sim, and see if u can totally beat him.

Ya. But don't send a spam there and that's it. Send a spam there and then send X amount of squads right after. Hard to explain, but for example:

Code:
.     >>>>> >      .

The first dot is your colony, the 5 arrows are your main army, the little squad ahead of them is the spam squad, and the final dot is the guy's colony. What I'm saying is attack with the spam squad at regular ETA, but delay one ETA for your army so they get there the tick after the spam squad. Gives you a tick to run stuff on the simulator and see if you should turn back or continue with the attack.

Good luck.

when we say spam squad, it is usually just a squad with one armor inf. Use a lot in various cases such as finding enemy's detailed unit count, or wearing down shields, or taking OPs without having too much risk.

However ppl are starting to use stronger units (damage upgrade, range upgrade, or even range tank >.<) depends how u use the spam.

I think that u know this already, but I will put it here just in case u don't

Well, if you want to keep your stastic neat like me, you might want to avoid spamming too much. Every spam you send and peek enemy armies, you lose a battle, which will be counted in "Battles lost". Also, you can get tips from the BD wiki. :)
