I only have a couple of things to say... One - this only being 4000 ticks, but takes 6 ticks to attack basically means it is a 2000 tick world... Two - Extending by 500 ticks is just over 10 days. Other worlds that have had extensions would get an additional 500 ticks, this would be 3 weeks normally. I'm not sure why it wasn't made a 6000 tick world, based on 6 ticks to attack. As compared with a single tick world that takes 3 ticks to attack... At any rate, I never heard there was a set tick limit for this world, the old client had the tick ending when you signed up, I don't recall there being one here... All I know is a lot of folks that I asked when this world was ending throughout the era, no one knew for sure. Then bam, here's the notice, going to tick 4000, which is less then a week away, and vote to go an extra ten days. Seems very fast and aggressive to end this era, much like how fast the ticks go on this world... Twice as fast as they should be...

I sadly didn't get the chance to vote on this as I didn't have the chance to be on in these past couple days, but the round was planned to end at tick 4000 all along. It was posted before, I believe in a Newbie Question thread.
I wouldn't have voted for a round extension.

I do not red the entire forum, so this seems like a bogus place to announce this. There are also a lot playing the game that do not read the forum at all, so this gives them even less of a chance of knowing the end...

It wasn't in an announcement....
Someone asked when E1 would end and Gaurav answered.

The value of 4000 was added simply because that's when double tick servers ended in the old client, it wasn't based on what was actually needed for a balanced round or what made sense.

I am similarily disappointed by the seemingly early closure of this world. To finish this round so soon when you consider the 30 minute ticks means that the round will be very short compared to other worlds.
Contrary to some of the mL experiences I would have to say that there are as many new conquers to be had as ever - in fact I have more now than at any other point in this game or infact that I have ever had in any era!
Andrew - please reconsider your decision - only last night another major war kicked off when AEX tried to hijack the UE relic and run off with their crystals. (Disasterously executed by the way !! ).
To end the server when we are in the middle of wars just doesn't seem fair !

Why didn't this discussion arise a month or two ago when the tick limit was cleared up? Why are we just NOW having a debate about it? I see and even agree with all of your points Kane, the thing is...we all kept playing even after we found out what the tick limit was. If you weren't going to be satisfied with the way the game was setup this round, then you could have just left. It was obviously a test round of sorts and we knew things were going to be a bit different this time around. F69 is the OBVIOUS winner here in this round. I think the initial tick extension in itself is pointless, it should never have been discussed or voted on in the first place. The people have spoken and the numbers are in. But that still doesn't mean it's not a semi-biased decision being that I'm sure F69 was the driving force behind the initial vote. Have fun with your perfect win. Hell, I'll give you our relics if I thought it would keep you guys from attempting to slaughter us (which I know it wont). Watch out UE, AEX and CRAP. You guys are obviously next. mL will be back, but on E2. I am not a big fan of single ticks worlds as I have tried E4 and promptly deleted my colony. Although I might reconsider if I know F69 is coming back to E1

I can understand an extension to finish a war that will decide a true winner of this round, but this is not the case.
