Staying in the safe area of your compound. Problem is, you don't have wood do you? So here are your options:

a) Go collect wood in pairs
b) Go collect wood as a large group
c) Stone a turtle to death, use its shell as a handle and rocks as the axe top
d) Don't make axes, decide to dig a sand hole, and lay there until he morning.
