You would hate the Americans, just because they are Americans, if the invasion happened during your time, if you were directly affected by it. It doesn't matter how an individual person is, but the government and the troops represent the millions of people back home. You cant expect people to use logic when their very survival is threatened. You can use logic, even though you are from Vietnam, because that happened a long time ago, and you are looking back at things. But ask your Dad, or your Grandfather, and see how they feel, or rather felt back then.

Say you were Iraqi and you were sitting in your basement watching a broken TV, struggling for 1 meal a day and then there is an ad on TV showing a happy american family. The family might actually be good people, but when you see that it COULD incite anger, simply because you will question, why they deserve to be happy and why you had to sit in your basement struggling to even feed your family. And such anger that stems out of ego, identity issues, race, religion, patriotism, oppression has the ability to breed hatred. LOTS of it. And its completely justified as well. Simply because it has to do with emotions. Yes emotional decisions and conclusions may not be logical, but not everything can have or should have logic attached to it. Its the essence of being human.

That doesn't justify going to the extremes that some of them do. IE: terrorism.

Lemme explain what terrorism is:

Terrorism is NOT according to common belief, mindlessly killing people of another country, just because they are from that country or because of religion. Terrorism is just a war tactic.

Historically if you see, every war will have a political reason behind it. A complete victory means, a political victory (achieving your political objectives) as well as achieving your objectives in war as such. This is why the Vietnam war is not considered an absolute victory for the US. The american withdrawal, meant that the Americans did not LOSE, but did not WIN either, which marks a Vietnamese political victory over the US.

So keeping that in mind, think about what the US or the Al-Qaeda and other groups are doing.

The Al-Qaeda which was formerly the Mujahideen fighting in Afghanistan, saw increasing US influence in the middle east, in the form of Military bases established in Saudi Arabia, US oil corporations performing drilling activities in the middle east and investing heavily as well as funding the Jewish state of Israel, which was against the other Islamic nations. They wanted the US out for purely political reasons in order for them to be more powerful and call the shots. BUT, seeing that most of the muslim population was poor, and most of these countries werent as economically advanced as the US, an all out war against the US would not be possible. Therefore, they undertook a war which called fellow muslims to take up arms against the "infidels", and used religion as a tool to motivate people. They indoctrinated them, made them commit attrocious crimes, while creating HUGE PUBLICITY which is very very essential for terrorism to succeed (political objectives). Another motive of terrorism is to provoke the US to go to the middle east to fight, slowly but surely bleeding the American economy. This is infact one of Osamas objectives and I have to say he has succeeded big time. The political objectives of this war if you see are the demands that the Al Qaeda etc have - Withdrawal of US from the middle east blah blah.

Now What did the US do? They use "Humanitarian Interventoin", Religious extremism etc as REASONS for themselves to get into war. They terrorize every muslim nation and those that dont serve its economic interests are attacked for false reasons and then their economies forcefully controlled by American corporations. Any acts of violence against occupying American troops is considered terrorism. For Gods sakes, a place where there is a break down of law and order will automatically attract crime. Secondly, the so called "terrorists" that include rebels, are actually fighting for their country. What would an american do if Iraq invaded the US. Wont he take up arms and fight for his freedom? Thats what those people are doing too.

Of course what they do is extreme, but what the US does in the form of humanitarian intervention, etc is extremism as well.

Terrorism is the war of the poor. War is the terrorism of the rich.

What country wouldn't abuse power like our government sometimes does? Power corrupts very very easily.

Getting back to the topic, I can't believe that somebody said religion wasn't a problem. Gay marriage opposition? The crusades? Various disgusting and vile crimes done throughout history in the name of god? Religion is the worst and would be the worst problem if anything like this were to try and be implemented. It's literally a sin to be happy with life in the christian religion. Therefore I contend that religion would be the biggest thing standing in the way of this.

I mean that if the government knows how to deal with the differences in religion, then they won't have a problem. There are a lot of country doesn't have a national religion, or a mixed religion. People are free to choose their religion, or even create a new religion. In my country there is a religion that say God and Buddha are both real. Of course, the newly created religions and the newly imported religions must be checked to avoid the extreme religions.

I didn't say religions are not a big problems, I can see almost all the wars now are religious related. But that's becuz they don't know how to deal with that. They must know how to control religion, not let the religion control them.

In my country, religion are free to join. And religion talking (along with politics) are prohibited. The threads like "is god real" is this forum will be locked and all the members who involved can get a warning or a ban depends on their posts, if this is a forum in my country. We are free to express our ideas, but no talk bad. I can go and say "I don't believe in god" but I can't say "Those who believe in god should just go die". Heck I can be arrested if I say something like that.
