Depends on ur choice the story will change, there are several endings for a Visual Novel and ur choices will lead to one of them. It could be a happy ending or at least a "win" ending, or could be a bad ending or even dead end.

Adding to the text there will be CGs, SFX and sometimes voices.

Some visual novel that I recommend:
- Fate/Stay Night
- Clannad (non-eroge)
- Ever 17 (non-eroge)
- Tsukihime
- Musumaker (incomplete E patch, loli eroge with voices)
- Higurashi no naku koro ni (horror)
- School Days (yandere)
