Right, well sniping is when you steal an alliance members conquer/crystal by sending more troops than them to the target.

For example:

Player 1 is a newb who an empty colony

Player 2 sends a spam at player 1

Player 3 sends 2 spams at player 1 in order to take the conquer

Sniping is despised in most alliances and depending on the leader you'll usually get a kick for it. In most alliances the rule is that the person who launches at the target first gets it.

Sniping
The act of another player attacking something before you even though you launched first

Example
You launch at tick 100
attack lands at tick 105
friend launches attack at tick 103
friends attack hits at tick 104
he gets the loot.

Urrr how can it took 1 tick to get there

correction, friend launches attack at tick 101
friend's attack hits at tick 104

Thats not sniping. Sniping is when someone matches eta with you, and kills your units and takes the loot. You cant complain if you launch an eta 5 attack and your friend launched an eta 3 attack 1 tick later, and still beat you to it. He was simply closer and you should as a rule never launch an attack above eta 3 and thats why you build gates eta 3 from each other.

No that's sniping, however you're right about the complaint. But it's not with the sub and members in the alliance. You aren't supposed to snipe ur own alliance or sub and it's an unwritten law. But if that is with another alliance, well, depends on the leader though. I'm completely fine with being sniped and sniping other alliances.
