Im a little unclear in what change is happening here, does this mean that there will be no cool down for E boosts? aka Boost after Boost after boost?

i believe thats what it is but i think there should still be a cool down just a small one because at tick 1 it would be boost after boost after boost most structures built and massive army game over already there should be a 3-6 tick cooldown as thats not really that much of a cooldown time compared to what the emergency boost was

I see your point, But , non the less, From a buisiness point of view its a killer move to increase profits, because i for one, will be boosting alot. and i know others who will do the same

It has its pros and cons, like most updates

I kind of love and hate it. Cuz, the emergency boosts are damn costly :D

But on the other hand, they stopped trading resources purchased using tokens. That would have been a ridiculous change if not compensated by removing cooldowns in some way. Anyway, boosting should always be encouraged and am all for it.

Though like I said before, Id like to see some changes in the amount of metal got per 100 or 190 tokens. Metal or Oil should be a constant value. Because I find it weird, that when you spend money, you never know how much you are gonna get. Sometimes you get 3k, sometimes 6k. This world average thing is something I dislike. It depends on a noob that doesnt login for example which is ridiculous. Am spending my money, I need something in return and I need to know what that is. I propose the following:

100 Tokens - Small metal - 5000 metal
130 Tokens - Small oil - 5000 oil
190 Tokens - Heavy metal - 10000 metal
230 Tokens - Heavy oil - 10000 oil.

Ive just taken average values between 3000 - 6000 for small boosts and 6000 to 12000 for heavy boosts. Well not average, somewhere around that, a rounded value.

Maybe emergency boosts can be tweaked too. At 3 times the cost 5000 is just too low.

Either the above, or maybe they should reduce cooldowns for others too. Maybe 6 hours for small boosts and 12 for heavy boosts. Just throwing ideas out there to encourage more boosting.

Yea i agree, A bit more Bang for the Buck would be better, Emergency boosts are expensive for the amount you get , but i guess thats the price we will pay for the ability to boost anytime without cooldown

Why not just make both oil and metal fixed at the amount they currently are? From a business perspective, it makes much more sense to remove cooldown on emergency boosts, they are much more expensive but they are also the last thing that can save you in case of an attack and/or different emergency.

The current amount varies. Thats why I proposed something in between. But yeah from a business perspective, removing cooldowns from emergency boosts was the right thing to do.

This move was purely financial. The boosted resource trading was fixed. The reason I use the word fixed is because it was not intended to be used as a way to subvert cool downs to begin with.

However in order to appease the super boosters that complained before the fix was even made, they removed cool downs... from emergency boosts. Which increases the amount of money they bring in AND if you decide to boost the heck out of the emergency your money won't go as far, further balancing the game. (as it seems right now they're trying to protect the noobs more to some extent)

This is an absolute positive for the game of battledawn and the business of battledawn. (Despite the fact that it hurts experienced non / light / med boosters alike. That means me :x ) Actually all of the last 3 updates hurt this category of players... hmmm :?:

Anyway, they've given you a blank check to boost in one sitting. let's no whine about the picture in the background of it.

As for the fluctuating boosts. I actually like it. The standard amount is 3k 6k *5k for emergency* That's what you should get. That's the way the boost was originally however if the world is hanging on to a lot of metal then the game stretches your dollar FARTHER and gives you more to help you out. Since 3k doesn't do alot when 70% of the world has 9k and is waiting for you.

The price for the emergency boost is perfect as is. It was too costly before. When you could use it once a day and it gave you a handful of stuff. Now the price seems worth it. Because it removes the wait time. The single biggest limiter to boosting around. Heck, if the made 5 times the cost of a normal boost it'd still be worth it, since you could use it literally as much as you wanted. ESPECIALLY in the early ticks.
