and i hate knowing that non-boosters are once again left in the dust after all the hard work we put in trying to make the game fairer
im sure there are good intentions to this new update but i think it needs some tweaking...

Even if there ware 500 resource outpost in the world, the top 3 alliances would own 4/5ths of them. Most mid ranking alliances between 4-15 live on taxtation.
Conquering colonies for taxtation has always been a part of BD. Even from OC. And it is now more important than ever with the introduction of tokens into the game. And already, the income from conquerers has decreased.
As for new players quitting after getting conquered, that problem can be easily fixed by sending a basic guide along with the starting message. And include "When you get conquered, it isnt the end of the game" Or something along that line.
Already, conquerers do not need to pay taxtation. The only disadvantage on being conquered is no gating. That is all.
And if you didnt know, getting conquerers is what makes the game fun. I have seen inter alliance competitions on who can get more conquerers. Remove the benefit of conquerers, and you lose 1/4 of your current players. Simple as that.
And as for 500 resource mines, a good alliance can get 1000 conquerers. So you better make each resource mine give both metal and oil. Preferably 15 or 20 of each. Make them worth it.
I am breaking my leave from BD to study for my exams just to make this post as I consider this a serious matter. I will leave the game if this update is implemented permanently.

I have been talking to a lot of people recently and i believe the biggest worry is that people will no longer get power

also another big thing for many old players conquering is like an old friend  its something thats been around for long it characterizes BD

This update won't stop players from being conquered... already there is no disincentive to being conquered, and yet people get upset and leave right? They obviously don't realize it doesn't hurt them at all... if we implement this change, people won't realize that conquering people doesn't help them, and will do it anyway.
i.e. This update will not stop people from being conquered, there will still be people who attack every free colony they see.
Taxation has not always been in BD, but it was added very soon after.
I personally don't think conquering players is worth it, waste of time, yet a lot of people derive most of their fun from it... we can't compensate the fun lost by simply increasing the output of mines and crystals, we would need to add something else to soak up people's time if they are bored.

Yeah even I never conquer. I buy my army most of the times. I think the resources spent in conquering most of these colonies is not worth the 8 day taxation (because of deletion). I derive most of my resources from collecting as many resource outposts and crystals as possible. But since, this update will cancel out taxation as a means of income, Id like to see more resource outposts, and each resource outpost giving more income than 5 metal per tick that it gives now. You still cant get rid multies that are built for the purpose of crystals. I think overall, it favors the boosters, but non boosters who start slowly, use conquers and taxation from it to build up. Collecting resource outposts without boosting is kinda difficult.
