of course there are oxygen tanks but they are slowly being used up it's not like when you are in a shuttle they put extras in reserve because that would be pointless and stupid. all oxygen tanks are being used at once to keep a steady level of oxygen within the shuttle at all times

you do not no science if you do not think you can not reuse your air think about what you breath and think about what you do to breath what a tree dos well gess what with the spare parts in the shuttle you can make a fake tree in basic principal

look it up rel quick they already can but it costs to much money but with the right supplies it can be built witch all the right supplies is in a shuttle

it is because the supplies is what they use to move the shuttle without it they are stranded but since they are stranded they do not need it

jettison the other two guys into space and hoard their oxygen. the shuttle is now light enough to fly until it gets pulled in by Earth's gravity
