Yes, and the VERY CLEAR rules say that use of colonies to gain resources is illegal, as Seth showed me himself. we never used him to gain resources, and among other reason, banning him unjustfully ended the era.

also, since you brought up our convo, seth, then you said yourself at the beginning of it that if those are not multies then eventhough the move is low then you still can't ban them since they broke no rule. yet, somehow, you eventually did.

the african colony was meant to stay with us and not be kicked out. we gave up 400 tanks member for it.

to be honest, i dont care that the era ended. i just need to get some sleep. i thank GIFT for the time we had, i thank our guys for the hard work and i thank Seth for doing his best although i think that he was wrong. (there Seth, you said your job was not thankful - i just thanked you!)

As far as I see it, at any point of time, a colony can be built and any colony can be kicked out and anyone can be taken into the alliance for whatever period of time. Remember, we did not benefit fully through this. We had to kick 2 members out, and therefore were short of two armies. Ill present another scenario. What If I got a friend to build 200 or 300 ticks earlier, in the Gift hive, sent him tokens (which is valid) and then took him into the alliance around tick 1000 or so, just to gate into the GIFT hive? Would you again ban that person?

This is simply an option available ingame and we used it. But I understand that some people gave you a pretty hard time over it :D

And the most important point is that we never really gained anything through those colonies in terms of resources, which would have been actually bannable.

In this case, the area where the colony was placed was the equivalent of resources.

The reasoning for this is that it was used to circumvent having to actually use strategy and fight for that same peice of land. You call it strategy, I call it circumventing the intended strategy of the game by means of placing a spam colony. We ban for this all the time, and this is the first time EVER I have had anyone argue in favor of slave colonies in such a way!

There is no strategy that is intended. Strategy is adapting to situations and it changes everytime. This is one kind of a strategy we used. We ideally wouldn't have used it if we had more area for example.

Sorry for double posting, but this is to reiterate what I said earlier about banning supporters.

You banned Andrei for 6 ticks or so, and he lost his 600 odd inf because of that. Or maybe more. Now Andrei is a huge booster, and now his losses haven't been compensated. I dont know if he should ask for it, but this is what I meant. The thing that he got banned for is debatable, and this resulted in a loss for him and now he may not wanna pay again. I hope you see where I am coming from.

First of all it isnt a violation. Secondly, the ban was the punishment. Not the loss of units. The loss of units needs to be compensated.

It was a violation, slave abuse is universally punished.

The loss of units is because we killed him, because he couldn't login, which was the punishment. If you're not allowed to have any negative effect of being unable to login, then being unable to login wouldn't be a punishment.

You are the one that is wrong. Being unable to login is the motive of a ban. Loosing units and consequently loosing money isnt. You might as well ask people to pay a monetary fine and get on with the game the way you interpret it. Also, Seth was late in lifting the ban from what I understood in my chat with Andrei.

And most importantly, slave abuse, or in my words, strategy used ingame is not a violation by any means. Like I said, remove such a feature if you dont like it. If it is there dont complain. If players are being punished for a long time for such "abuses", then its time such an abusive rule was let go. Conquering any colony is not wrong. Building gates and joining and alliance and getting kicked is not wrong either. They are all options available and options that work.
