I have to agree with Allen on this. In my view, democracy might in its right sense is the best way to lead the country. USA lost its right to call itself a democracy the day the people lost the power to influence its government.

when did i say people in china lived in cardboard boxes? i said their are a ton of people who live in rather small living spaces. and a their are some work places that make people sleep in little capsule like things inside the work. that is what the 20/20 or whatever news i saw it on a while ago. i actually just read on CNN a weak or two ago about a guy in Hong Kong who was living in a big building but he was living in a room that was about 6 by 6 just 1 room he had to share a toilet that was on the floor with 20+ other people living in the same conditions.

I will do some research and try to find the news about China's living conditions that i saw a long time ago.

And Stop calling me racist when all im doing is stating the facts.

here is something i just found not what i seen a while ago but... here it is something along the lines of what i was saying .

Yeah I mean every democratic country has lost "true democracy", in the sense that the rich and the powerful call the shots. That is in a VERY real sense, though law and order, personal rights etc can still be fought for.

And yeah Trevor, living conditions wont be bad everywhere. For example check this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcWIeWbq ... re=related

I think in that video, its a lower middle class neighborhood, with not so fancy hygiene or whatever. Funny thing is, it looks almost exactly like an Indian lower middle class neighborhood. And yes I believe China's poorest of the poor will live in similar conditions like Dharavi in Mumbai (What you saw in Slumdog Millionaire). And yes you would have posh areas too. Its how developing countries are especially newly industrialized ones like India and China. The income divide is just too much.

First off, yeah conditions like that exist, but your extension from that to "a ton of people" is groundless. Sure, find some stats for me, I'd be glad to look at them and be proved wrong. Conditions like that exist in every country--it'd be like me taking a homeless guy from American and using that to stereotype Americans.
Also, yeah China is relatively poor compared to the Perfect Country of the United States of America, World Police, but remember, China is a developing country. Please note that when you compare stuff to China. The government has made great economic progress. There is still a long way ahead of us, but noting where we started, China's growth is amazing.

China's growth is indeed tremendous. In about 20 years they will actually overtake the US in terms of GDP, according to many international organizations.

But dont take things too seriously lol. America is not perfect or anything. I mean if you looked at the New Orleans Projects for example, it doesnt look like America. But what Trevor said, he didn't mean to demean anyone or any country, especially China. He was just saying what he saw on the TV channels. :)
