Love is an emotion. To explain in more detail there are different types of love. Some cultures have more than one word so there isn't any misunderstandings when it comes to love. There is love which is the urge to mate basically. There is love that is the love that you give to your family/pets. Then there is a love for your special other. Lastly There is a love for God according to what Ive read.
My personal definition of love.
Love is an emotion covered with the warmth of another persons soul. It melts in humans and can be felt through the senses. It is the most powerful emotion. To be truly in love is to feel love through the senses. Love is given and felt as the ultimate way to ensure your being accepted by another. When both people love each other they constantly give the other a feeling of gratification and acceptance. Love is the final step on the road to being accepted by others.
