This is more curiosity than anything else, but hey, I might need this some day. :D

Say you recruit units that will be ready at the same time an attacking force attacks your colony. Will those units participate in the battle?

In a three way battle for something, what are the battle mechanics in the following situations (A, B, C)
A has the most troops, followed by B and C
A has the most troops, B and C have equal amounts
A and B have the most troops, C has the least
A, B, C have equal amounts of troops.
By equal amounts of troops I mean that if they were to fight each other, the result would be a tie. Also, all are attacking, no squad is defending.

What about a 4 way battle?

Not about orders, but why do i vote and not get crystals?

Say my power increases to above 20 (workers, army) but on the same turn I lose my troops, resulting in my power decreasing to below 20. Would I get my crystal (assuming haven't reached 20 yet)?

When is power from armies added to your current power and score, when the troops are done or when the troops were "ordered"?

Also not about orders, but why was the spy staying on the OP when colony relocates feature removed? That got rid of one of my favorite strategies. :(

Are there exact percentages for splitting of the crystals in a battle? If so, do tell. :D

Thanks. :P And whoever gets all of these questions gets a cookie.

I have no idea; all I know is that the person whose army has the most collective health points wins.

You need 200 votes for a crystal.

I think you do. I think if you refresh your client before the tick when you get 20 power ends, you get the crystal.

When is power from armies added to your current power and score, when the troops are done or when the troops were "ordered"?

As soon as the units are 'ordered', but will only show the next tick if you refresh.

There's an issue with the 200 votes for a crystal system. Nobody's received a crystal like that in a long time. The only way to get them is the initial 20 power crystal and then to take them from others.

Three way battle...

Size of armys doesn't matter. Attackers VS. Defenders.

Then the Attackers Duke it out.
=======

4 way battle...

Attackers VS. Defenders.

Then I suppose...(Based on other mechanics of the game)

The army with the largest remaining force claims the OP.
(Making them the NEW defenders)

Attackers VS. Defenders.

Then

Attackers fight for control.

Of course this is just speculation but all things considered this seems to be the most likely way this situation would sort itself out in game. I'll work on testing it out, but I think this is the logical progression based on how other stuff in game works when 2 or more forces land at the same time.

Erm that means that in a three way battle, all offense, the side with the largest force is at a disadvantage, since the two smaller armies gang up on it. That can't be right, can it?

Depends on who controlled the OP/colony where the battle takes place.

If 3 alliances or more attack the same conquer (from none of these 3 teams), then the two strongest will fight for it, the third and others will back off.

By back off, you mean retreat/return to where they were launched with no extra oil expense or casualities...kinda like conquering an empty colony?

Probably. I think he means retreat as though the were going to a wreckage and it was taken first.

They just automatically turn around and return to where they came from. As if nothing happened. However they would still have gone the entire distance so the ticks and total oil used would remain the same. They would just be shown leaving the OP/colony after accomplishing nothing.

That sounds like a better and more likely possibility now that I think about it. Far easier to program, more predictable, easier to compute as well. AND it wouldn't provide players with the ability to crash a server by mass attacking one target. and forcing the computer to do dozens of calculations before the tick could pass.

Good work Kane. That's the 2nd time you've come up with something I completely agreed with.
