No, but they handle the transition swimmingly, giving the new girl and the hero a history and a believable relationship.

Myself I could not really accept the whole transition with what they told me through the movie. Pretty much all that was said was "the old girl left you and the new girl is understanding of the robots and that you're friends with Autobots but not Decepticons." Basically, she just replaced Megan Fox and they got lazy trying to implement a story for her to get introduced so they kind of skipped it for the most part.

Not complaining though the movie was great none the less.

It's a completely new movie that's unrelated to Transformers 1 and 2.

Chuck Norris once urinated in a semi truck's gas tank as a joke....that truck is now known as Optimus Prime.

They should bring back the 1972 version. Much more epic. Not saying this isnt good tho. Just saying that the old one was better.

I disagree. I never really cared about transformers, even though I watched the movie with my brother like 80,000 times, UNTIL the new movies came out

That soundtrack paired with the stories/acting really works for me. Didn't care much for 2 but 1 and 3 really hit the spot.

As for continued sequels. It seems awfully silly to plan that far ahead without the assurance of the hit team they've had so far. SO many sequels too lately... what happened to originality over endless rehashing anyway? I enjoy it sometimes but mostly it just gets old. Just go make a lower budget series about it on TV if you want to do it that badly!
