Yeah, also try to rebel if you notice that your conqueror's alliance is currently at war with another. I once liberated someone out of rage due to them attempting to rebel and conquer me so many times while my alliance was at war with the #1 alliance.

EDIT: even though you were conquered, you'll be able to make a big army faster due to increased production from the protection removal process.

Sounds like good advice but what if you don't want to wait long enough for 6 full ships? Isn't it more productive to be unconquered than to wait all that time under taxation building a substantial army?

I hate telling people how to get free. :( IF YOU GET CONQUERED BY "SPYDA" JUST LOG ON ONCE A WEEK TO KEEP FROM BEING DELETED....

If you're conquered by anyone else however....

Building a substantial army is usually a decent way to go. If you try to rebel without one you will undoubtedly fail. And even if your conqueror is too busy or doesn't notice and you get free. You'll be attacked and conquered again before you can even log in the next time.

Personally, there are 3 ways to get free...

Strength, Relationships, or Running.

You can either take little conquers (Love the Sun Ce BTW  ) approach and wait it out get strong and hope you survive long enough to meet a decent alliance to help protect you.

You can build a relationship with your conqueror (Unless they're a jerk) and many times they'll show you the ropes on how to improve and have more fun, Or you can build a relationship with other players and try to start/JOIN (better option) an alliance. *DON'T ask a top alliance if you can join unless you have some serious achievements, as they'll likely turn you down straight away (if they respond). Look for middle of the road alliances NEAR YOU and ask them about openings* Remember there's safety in numbers.

Lastly you can build an OP somewhere else and relocate. Many times this will get you free easily. However you'll have virtually no army at your new location and may be a sitting duck. Or you may walk into an even worse situation.

ABOVE ALL ELSE. DON'T, DO NOT, AVOID, IF YOU EVER WANT TO GET FREE STOP YOURSELF FROM...

Spying, Constantly spamming, ion cannoning, spam messaging, and anything else you can think of doing to annoy your conqueror. This just makes them mad and remember your name. I once had a conquer who Ion cannoned me every...single...day.

I relocated near him then moved him in the middle of my alliances nuke field.... and I sent him this msg. "Try to Ion the 10 nukes coming at you." in the end, his colony went inactive and was eventually deleted. But I got over a week of peace and taxes to recoup my losses.

Wow! Thanks dude! I just got conquered on both my servers so this will come in much use. I'm playing Earth 4 and Fantasy 3 but are there any other servers you would like me to create a colony on to humbly serve as your conquer as thanks?

Just letting you know, this would be considered to be farming and is against the rules, and could lead to a ban. I'm not suggesting that you would intentionally break the rules, I'm just informing you of them to prevent you getting banned.

Well I figured as much, but it's not like I wouldn't be playing. I was planning on creating a few more colonies across the different servers just to see how events progress there and I have noticed more than a few people talking about doing that without being banned.

I mean... they're talking about being conquered on purpose in this very thread are they not? That's not against the rules. I'm just offering to create one of my low profile and less aggressive colonies near him in return for his help in learning how to play.

Getting more units is a very dissuasive way to make people not attack you while you are attacking but does not work after a certain point of the game where the better players already got thousands range units and can crush any resistance.

Usually, if you got too much units and it will give some losses to your conqueror, he won't bother wasting your time on you. It's a different story if you're spamming his stuff or if you got a shiny though...
