Well I am not sure what harry did or whatever, but when the crap hit the fan, Markus ran. He was online the entire time the attack took place, and never launched. Its as simple as that. What kind of a leader menehune is, who backstabbed who, isnt the question here.
As for markus's reasons - as per what he told me and what kane is saying right now - they are just excuses. Right or Wrong, Loss or Win, you gotta stay with the ones you swore allegiance to. Thats loyalty for me. You win together or lose together, its as simple as that.

When Menehune shows his word is worth nothing, then what value is loyalty to such a person?

Ah is that what his message said? "I'm running now, see you losers"?
Maybe instead of taking bits out of context you can post the whole thing.

Markus chose to associate himself with ASEN, so he should be with ASEN come what may. What value does it have? - Respect towards people that you chose to associate yourself with - right or wrong. Secondly, like I said the reasons behind Markus's leaving ASEN was not the fact that Menehune declared war. Menehune had very good reasons to do that. I personally lost almost 80 units to Kafusalim. I honored his request to stay out of UK, but he did not honor my request to stay out of france. He sniped and killed my units, even after I messaged him that I was taking a few crystals and to pull back. Now I would consider that a cheap shot, and no honor there. Markus got cold feet and did not believe in ASEN. Its in a way GOOD RIDDANCE, but dishonorable nevertheless.

The fact that you realize it is your post but did not put it together that it makes you a hypocrite was my point. Which you illustrated quit excellently.
ASEN choose to associate itself with GIFT in a NAP, and they broke their word. A liar will have a lot of trouble expecting people not to lie to them.
As for your dead units, you killed Kafu's first.
