As the walls collapse around the squad a gunshot rings out and someone drops. Determining the location of the snipers (the bell tower) from the sound of the gunshot the remaining members quickly throw off their exhaustion and scramble to find cover among what remains of the building. Dragging the injured member as they retreat 2 squad members take a few pot shots to provide cover fire. Luckily one of the corners facing the bell tower on the far side of town remains standing and the squad members quickly take cover there.

Exhausted by the continues fighting the remaining members of the squad do their best to use the rubble around them to camouflage themselves in case any other enemies happen to find them. 30 seconds later you're are satisfied that the layer of debris, rocks and dirt covering your corner of hell is enough to hide you in the short term. With 9 people surviving the remaining walls are just barely enough to conceal your squad but luckily the snipers appear to be unable to see you. Under the rubble you attempt to get some rest before heading out.

Risking a few minutes to catch your breath you and your squad mates attempt to come up with a way to move just 1 block closer to your goal. Whispering in case someone passes by a plan is slowly formed...

Spoiler:
As you rest "under some rubble" it collapses pinning you beneath it. Your whispers turn to shouts, and screams, but prove to be of no use as an artillery shell slams into your cover, burying you in your grave. You have sadly died but thank you for participating.

As we create our barrier of dirt and rocks I start to crawl along the barrier towards the next block, when I reach the road I throw a smoke grenade onto the street giving us cover for a short amount of time. I tell my team to follow me as I run through the smoke

Spoiler:
You run through the smoke, unable to see where your going but hope for the best. You stumble here and there, due to debris and rocks littering the ground. Just as you are about to clear the smoke, you collapse into a artillery made, hole twisting your ankle nearly all the way around. The pain is unimaginable, but you quickly regain your senses attempting to stand...you must move as the smoke is clearing. You hear a shell whistling through the air...you attempt stand, but the pain shoots through your entire body causing you to scream. You must move...you tell yourself...you must move. A artillery shell whistles through the air....your alive but for how long? (+15 SXP)

ROUND 2

"As you all gather at your current locations, you can hear a massive thundering sound coming from down the road. A tank is approaching, only seconds away from turning down the street. In the distance enemy forces are preparing another salvo of artillery shells. The sniper in the bell tower, seems to have disappeared for now. Enemy troops have began pouring into neighboring buildings so be alert, and be careful"

i decide to turn back and go back half a block to where the other hole was, it provides us with more cover and i know the sniper is still out there waiting for us to pop up

we are there, we sneak into the ally above and we continue to look for options on our approach, the streets arent safe because of the tank and the sniper

ichoose to duck into a house, the house is empty, and we have to go up a floor to move froward

we continue into the war torn home and we make sure to stay in the shadows and to be precautous, but most of all we crawl to give ourself cover and to be able to be more sneaky if we do come across an enemy

Spoiler:
You made it safety across the street, and into the house, just as the tank turns the corner. Its massive thundering can only be matched by the pounding of your heart beat, as you quietly make your way the the upper level of the house. As you reach upstairs, you survey the house next door, it appears to befalling apart, something might be able to collapse it. Suddenly a mounted machine gun opens fire on you from the house. Luckily you remained well hidden in cover, and avoided the incoming fire so far, for now you survive. (+20SXP)

I crawl to the next building as the artillery shell hits behind me from a safe distance. I hop on one leg and open the door slowly with my M1 Grand in my hands. I look around and see no enemies. There is a staircase to my right and three windows to my left in the direction of the bell tower. I crawl along the floor and hear a loud rumble and I take a quick peek to see a tank rolling by. I quickly duck. I find a long stick and use it as a cane and crawl to the stairs and go upstairs. I pull out my rifle and and find no enemies upstairs . I walk downstairs and spot a side door. I slowly open it and find a dark alley which I walk in the shadows hiding from enemy patrols flooding the streets.

Spoiler:
As you manage to get inside the building the tank rolls right over the position you had formerly occupied. After it passes, you work your way into the ally. The ally soon ends, and leads into a small field. On the other-side more sets of houses lay there, a potential point of excellent cover if you can make it. The field is risky, but not impossible to cross. It has light tree cover, some fallen debris, and by struck of luck there appears to be dead enemy soldier in the middle of it. Perhaps some means for ammunition. But the bell tower has a clear view of the entire field, however the sniper is currently not visible....for now you survive, as you plot your next move. (+20 SXP)

I stare at the dead dog for what seemed like hours when it was really minutes, realizing what I had done. I dared not go near it for it could be booby trapped or an enemy could be standing right outside of the front door. So I get on the floor and crawl to the backdoor to avoid being seen by anyone through the windows. I slowly stand up looking behind me for any hostile targets every little move I make. All I can see are my team members.

I crack the back door open just barely and saw a tank moving in the direction of the front door, in between two building. I notice the sniper is no longer in the bell tower and also wonder if the guy in the middle of the street is alive or not. I open the back door just a bit more to peer out. I look left, no one is there and the bell tower is open. Then I look right, and I see enemy soldiers rushing into the building on my right.

So I crouch down and start out the door and turn left. I look behind me and it looked as if no one, but my team was following me. So I continue in the direction of the bell tower until I get to another building still intact and can be used as cover. I hear the tank getting closer and I see the enemy units setting up a defense point in their building. I stop and think about what my next move will be. After mere seconds, I see that the building I'm hiding behind has a back door.

Like any other would do, I crouch and walk to the back door and crack it open to see what appears to be no enemies. With my gun held high, I slowly and quietly enter the structure as my life depended on it. I began to gather around my group for further instruction. We stay alert for anyone that could be in the building. Keep our eyes peeled and our ears wide open. We have to figure out a way to survive and how we are going to get to that bell tower. It's far away and we need a good plan and escape route.....

Spoiler:
You move carefully placing your back up against the wall of the new building your in. Your suspicions of enemies setting up in a near by building are true. Just across the way, you can see a two enemy troops getting set up, they are completely unaware of your presence, as they are looking over a near by field. You could easily pick them both off...you look at your remaining clip... "dang only 5 shots...do I want to risk it? " Just before you make your choice you notice a red squad member, ghossfeld88 out of the corner of your eye....easy prey....sitting in a nearby ally overlooking the same field, take the shot? or let him deal with the enemy? For now you survive...(+20 SXP)

As I hear the back door slowly creek open, I quickly dash behind a chair. I pull my Springfield and train it on the door preparing to shoot the man who enters the room. I feel paranoid and anxious, knowing that all my squad could have been killed. Then the door opens...

Spoiler:
A man rushes in gun raised, scanning the perimeter, he spots you, he goes to pull his trigger - but you were ready for him. With quick reflexes you feel your weapon recoil in your hand, every ounce of pressure lunges through your body. The metallic slug is thrown from the gun, hitting the flow, as the bullet connects with the enemy soldiers head. For now, you survive. The back door leads to an open field...proceed with caution. I hear the tank before i see it, and i instantly get scared. I see fear in my team's eyes, but try to throw the tank away from my thoughts. Better to focus on one thing at a time. I glance at my knees, which i scraped pretty badly when trying to dodge the sniper shot. My head is still dizzy, but from what i can tell, i'll be okay. I look around at my team, and see vishesh1999 dead, sitting in a pool of his own blood. I throw my thoughts aside, and think of a way to escape. I decide to try to call into the next building, and work from there, running from building to building. Not allowing the snipers to have a shot. I give my team the choice to join me or stay. I wait for there opinions.

Spoiler:
After regaining your senses, you attempt scurry out of site before the tank rolls around the corner. It sees you just as you run in between two buildings, It fires, slamming a round into the bottom floor of the building you just passed, but you continuing onward with your ears ringing. Theres a building infront of you, but it borders the street...do you risk it with the tank approaching. You look around an notice two enemy troops jumping into the window of a house preparing to contest your advance. Choices must be made, but for now you survive. (+20SXP)

I can feel the ground shaking: it's a continous vibration, so it cannot be artillery fire, it is a tank. I think of my options: going out into the open is suicide with one of those beasts lurking in the roads, so I gotta move. As I crawl to the side exit of a bar, I almost trip with a dead body: one of our comrades, with an empty M1. I don't have time to check him for any stuff he bears, but I suddenly got an idea. I lay him just tilted to the entrance door, just visible to the road at the side. I scurry under the windows, and wait about 20 seconds, until I hear what I expected, the men on the other side of the road started shooting, not at me but at the corpse I left "defending" the entrance. With that distraction, I rush to the next building, my Mosin-Nagant carbine pointing forward: I arrive to the building, crack the door open, with my weapon ready to shoot at any sight of trouble.

Spoiler:
Your distraction works well...actually too well. The corps falls backwards, and the enemy soldiers pursue to double check, and confirm the kill. They notice you through the window, entering to the second building as they enter the previous one. You carefully enter the building, turn to face the windows, and prepare to return fire. For now you survive. (+20 SXP)
