kev this wasnt a slave colony, and we are allowed to gate to members up to 24 ticks from another gate. it is your fault for letting NO have a gate within 24 ticks of your hive. this was a strategic move to get into your hive this is no different than getting a spy in the enemy hive.

it has never been reported or said before in the rules that using a gate is against the rules. and i have never seen a banning for it. and if it is against the rules then all members who "cheated" and gated to this colony should of been banned.

Ah so I should not let any protected colony buy tokens while he's in protection and build a gate, to immediately come out of protection and join NO to be able to be instantly gated to?

You're right, totally missed that. How silly of me. I'll just use my magic wand to delete all the protected colonies I don't like.

Kevin, i send you a screenshot today. If you take a closer look, you will see that on the screenshot are also some mass we send. There are also some with: "new suspicious colonies"
After we figured out, how we can fight you or at least distract you, the big question was : He or any sub of GIFT could do the same. What can we do?

Maybe i gave you to much credit with that. We watched all colonies closely which suddenly popped up. And we would have jammed them. Not much magic in that. (still kinda funny, cuz usually I am smiling whenever i see a jammed colony in protection.
Anyway... We weren't sure if they added the 24 ticks rule again or not. So some members did some tests at Mars. Is it possible to gate into a protected colony? Are we able to gate into a colony who just joined the alliance? We wanted to be 100% sure that our plan will work. Also we talked about if this is bannable or not.

Believe me, I know the rules of BD. Its just so, that I never saw any rule which we would violate with this - cuz there is none.

exactly and after i was banned for illegal colont placement (bs btw) i went and browsed every rule site that belonged to BD and what they did was not against the rules but oh here you are the great and mightly kane went crying to the admin so he could start banning them and you get your little win that is just so precious to you

awesome how kev using the game mechanics and NO using them gets members banned but no apology from Seth. and compensation imagine if kev was the one who used this strategic mechanic in game feature.

You guys aren't getting the full extent of what I'm saying.

I'm talking Admin perception here. A while ago I got banned for farming when I wasn't too. I had no intention of farming, but what I did was perceived as such and I got in trouble for it. I get where you're coming from here. I also suffered from the wrath of Seth!

It's not anyone's fault but your own if you use a strategy that happens to look exactly like cheating from the admin's perspective.

The admin can't read your mind. That's all I was getting at.
I still think it was a brilliant maneuver.

Yeah so players should not be punished for his lack of resources. If an unwanted mechanic is found out, then the admins should be notified, it should be duly noted and fixed in the next update. And till then, the ToS updated and the admins should inform his players not to use such strategy going forward and give clear reasons. Not jump the gun and go ban 3 people and interfere in the game and piss people off. Any case this wasnt a slave colony. This was just another member that joined us. Completely valid.

BTW Twilight, if the admin cant read your mind, then he should talk to the players and find out whats going on. Now in this particular case, Seth said he was online, he saw all what happened. So saying as an admin he had a different perception is actually false. He knew exactly what was going on and he isnt dumb. He spoke with Avi and Kevin. The decision he made was not the result of an unfortunate, accident with perception, it was more of a well thought out abusive decision. I perceive it to be for other reasons, but I wont bring it up here.
