Like I told you, it was expressed to me that while 4000 was the number on the table it was never the intention to end the server then due to the many reasons I described that call for a longer round to keep the same balance. It was expressed to me that 5000 would be a better value... especially on E1.
I listened to that, when maybe I shouldn't have... when I saw the vote, I knew it would go through, which is why I didn't complain either. I was right, it went through with a VAST majority... like a brick to the face did it hit me when Andrew said 4500 would be the cap, which is why I decided I had to say something here about it.
Andrew said it had a lot to do with the adamant responses against the extension, I have facts on my side, which I have enumerated and even have the leader of the enemy alliance (lol... i.e. you) agreeing with me on them, which I appreciate. I have not seen many facts from the opposing side, mostly "It's not fair", which of course they will say as they are the losing side... and I'm also seeing a lot of "4000 was always the time it was supposed to end"... thing is, that wasn't based on balance decisions, was just the number they picked out of a hat at the time, I was lead to believe it was never the true ending time, which is why I never complained about it until I realized I was mislead.
So that's why I never brought it up, and is why no one else from F69 did either, as I shared my impression of the situation with them... none of us expected it to actually end at 4000.

So since it was expressed to you, that means we all automatically soaked up this information through the collective consciousness? It was stated by a senior mod here that the tick end was 4000, no admin or any other mod came in and mentioned that this was just "a number on the table". Their was no disagreement about this fact and we all went with it. Now we find out that you were privy to information that the tick 4000 limit could and probably would be extended. You don't think other alliances might have wanted to have this information so we could have better planned? It makes total sense now why F69 waited a while to coordinate any sort of attack on a larger alliance and basically sat back while the rest of us fought. You knew this round would probably be extended which is why you never mentioned this nor brought this to a vote earlier. Admins: If you are going to share information that can benefit one alliance, please make it public knowledge so we can all play accordingly. It's only fair.

Gaurav is not an admin, you shouldn't have taken his word as fact. You should have only planned your round around an official statement, neither of us got official statements. So it's still fair, if I got an official statement we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.
I don't think either of us should argue for/against an extension based on what we were told, simply around what would be balanced, I seem to be the only person concerned with that.

Well you were told information via an admin, thus you were privy to information we all could have used.
And I understand that Guarav isn't an admin, but if what he was saying was false...then somebody of a little bit more authority would have cleared it up.
This situation is getting a bit more frustrating as we go on. Finding out that you were basically told that an extension was a good possibility is a huge advantage. Makes me not even want to play this game anymore if some people are just deemed more special and worthy of pertinent information.

It's not that I was told there would be an extension, it's just in conversation it was discussed that 4000 wouldn't make much sense in the context of this round. I wasn't aware everyone had to supply all chats to you... it wasn't official, was just what gave me the impression that my concerns about ending at 4000 were shared and is why I didn't complain earlier.
We were both told things that didn't end up being true on both sides of the issue, that's why I think we should focus on what would be the most balanced, as opposed to he said / she said.

Hey kids, cbuzz, and redwurm... You keep saying we all knew it was 4000... Do you read my messages? I had no idea it was supposed to end at 4000, and no one ever told me otherwise... There was no notice from Admin, until there was a vote...
I assumed coming from servers that were 3 ticks for an attack and 3000 ticks for the world, it led me to believe on a 6 tick for an attack it would be a 6000 tick server... Not being given any other information, it seems quite logical how I came to that conclusion. I'm sure you will point out to us that double tick worlds on the old client were 4000 ticks. I will pount out to you that it also was 3 ticks to attack on those worlds, not 6...
Kenny - I expect more from you, to just come on here and post something like that... I guess I expect more from a moderator of the forum, but alas, you are Kenny... I should've known better...
