the new and improved battle dawn is not loading. i was not bale to be online for 2 days already, and it's not my browser or internet proxy at fault. not using windows, enables me not to have automatic firewalls.
so, anyone has the same problem? please do let me know.

What browser do you use? I currently have trouble with IE but FireFox works fine.

well, i use firefox on ubuntu. i cleared my chace already, it enters, randomly on M2 and E3, but F2, E4 and M4 remains locked, so to say. the loading bar isn't filling. and on the other servers, only in full screen i can see the HUD. i've found fullscreen by mistake, guessing where log out button is and pressing it, just to find out it was, actually, fullscreen.

it seems that is working only in fullscreen. in the login section, i must toggle fullscreen to see the servers.

Pressing Tab button in the login screen till you are in the area of the server list - then press "down" cursor and the servers are displayed.
But yes only in fullscreen its playable at all.
Entering a new name for a squad doesnt work, writing messages doesnt work.

We've had a few users reporting odd display issues with ubuntu and firefox, if you can please try a different browser, we're still looking into the problem.

Doesnt work with Chromium neither. I am not going to test all browsers. The behavour in FF and Chromium is the same.
Its certainly something with the flash (using adobe flash here) which differs between windows and Linux systems somehow.
(Btw I figured how to type text in message fields - you need to toggle back from full screen to normal mode then you can type...)

There still appears to be problems with ubuntu 9.10 and flash since the update.
I have tried firefox, seamonkey, chrome and opera. All have the same problem with rendering various objects (like the text).
If you switch to full screen it works (except painfully slow and artifact laden).
It works slighly better if I vnc to my local box - I do not have to switch to fullscreen to get it to work.
I am guessing this is some new feature that is not part of the standard flash plugin that is used in ubuntu as it works fine for centos 5.4 and I am also told it works on a collegue's home fedora box.
