Ehh alright.. Time to give my opinion. I do not agree that the CE 2014 can not end in 2015, CE 2014 just means it started in 2014. There are many championships and events that run from one year into the next. CE 2014 is just a title, it might as well have been CE 2.

Right well.. I didn't expect it to last this long either. But it was always a possibility. If you had wanted to be sure it ended before tick 5000, you should have set a tick limit. The entire premise of this era was that it would not end until one team held all 10 relics for 100 ticks, I believe what is the really stinging point here for many players is that you would go back on that promise and that premise. Players are free to quit the era anytime, there are many that have done so and that stopped playing this era. Ltara and others, if this is really how you feel, what is stopping you from walking away?

What you are stating here is in my opinion flawed. You are stating costs but not all these costs are due to this round. Servers yes, advertisements no. New players aren't coming to E6, so this is only a variable for the other servers. The admins needs to be paid of course, however what I find most peculiar here is that you say we need to pay the developers for the mobile client of Battledawn. This round is bringing in a lot of income as is, and has done so for a long time. Just like last year's CE did. I do not know the exact numbers of course, but I believe the assumption that shutting down the CE would have a positive effect on BD's income is wrong. Many players would quit, many that really are only here to play the CE as it is and has been such a competitive round. But also many that would quit because they would completely lose faith in BD as the promise that was made for this era would simply be broken.

Not to mention.. I have my girlfriend lawyer sitting next to me here, and she says that indeed a genuine case could be made for false advertising. Those that spent money did that on the premise of a round that would not end until all 10 relics were held for 100 ticks.

In summary, I think it would be better for BD to keep the round going than to shut it down now. We are winning yes, but we do not feel like we have won already. We still have to play safely and this round is not over yet. It would be a shame to kill it before it ended since this is what I believe is the greatest era ever.

Ending the era right now will make it 877 ticks of massing armor and possibly farming subs for crystals for score, instead of fighting the enemy to win.

If that is what you want Battledawn to be then you've spoken and so be it.

Ok just to put things into perspective the end of the year is in 962 ticks time (GMT timezone relying on no tick freezes).

For a player who has mainly just been watching I have to say I have not experienced the strain and stress which this era has put people under so people may say I have no place to comment however I have witnessed what this era has transformed this community to. We are fighting amongst ourselves on the forums and through the admins which is just not right.

Do we really want to be known as a community where we are constantly living in fear and anger of constantly being accused and insulted by other players. Personally from the point of view of a moderator I have seen the overall mood and morale of players and staff of the game decrease.

I understand that I am a minority that would like to see a tick limit put in place but it is to protect the overall game itself that we all have become such a tight-knit and special community from.

For those mainly involved I just want you to think to yourselves how much more can you last before fatigue, boredom and pure frustration begins to set in and the last thing all of you want is to begin to hate the game that you obviously have such strong passion for.

Well that is my piece and I will be happy to continue to support my view if people feel they want me to but just consider how much does this community's existence mean to you and everyone else involved as if it keeps going this way I feel it will never recover to the way it was before CE.

First off, I oppose a tick limit. It is not fair to change the rules on all the people that have been buying reds this entire era.

Do we really want a community where everyone just hugs it out to get medals and tokens? Preventing any new players from becoming a part of that community and ultimately eliminating any need for reds?

BD used to be about rivalries, not medals. The opposing sides didn't like each other and that was... ok? It was what drove war in the first place.

As far as fatigue and frustration, that's part of the game. 2 sides playing perfectly and not taking any risks will result in a stalemate all the time, thats just how the game is. There used to be a thing called food, a natural in game fatigue element that would kind of hurry things along, that's gone, presumably to try and reduce the learning curve on the game, but making stalemate's more likely.

But in situations like this, being tired will make the win worth it for whoever does win, and someone eventually will.

So I say this is a war game... let them fight.

I really dont see the problem here.

Since when is fatigue and burning out a reason to end an era?
Its very simple:

If you are fatigued, burned out or bored with an era (because you are losing), you can just quit playing it right?

So you either quit, or stop whining.

Getting your enemy demoralized, fatigued and burned out is by the way one of the keys of winning any war game..

You fight many battles, and if one side loses many battles, and/or loses ground, and doesnt see a easy way to get back, they get demoralized.

Like Ltara.

If Ltara is demoralized, who stops him from not playing anymore? He can just take a break right? Or play a new era.

Every era in BD or any game ends up with a winning side and a losing side. If the losing side doesnt give up, because they still like to play, thats fine. If they dont like to play anymore, they can simply stop playing. Thats fine too.

If many top players went over their boundaries and are tired, that means they apparantly liked this game a lot, and apparantly this CE made them play 100%. This CE got the full playing potential out of them. The owner should like that.

This CE is btw one big advertisement for BD. It has been a balanced era for 4000 ticks already, full of constant fighting. The best of the best were present and the gameplay has been pro. And it can stil go any way.

And its just a game. People cant complain it makes them too tired. Because they control their own sleeping time.. They can only blame themselves if they make themselves too tired..

Ltara can just decide to sleep nicely the coming 7 days and log in once a day. But apparantly he decides to keep playing an era he apparantly finds tiring and frustrating. Thats his responsiblity, not anyone else's.

By the way. The charm of BD is that it is played by people who hate to lose, and love to win. Thats the charm of every game. A game where winning or losing doesnt matter isnt fun.

So, by definition, many players will be temporarily frustrated, angry and dissapointed if they feel they are losing, or dont end high enough.

If PHIz and Nubs were really tired and demotivated, they would have given up already. The fact that they still play tells you they are still motivated.

Because, if they arent, why would they still log?

So, Michael doesnt need to worry.

There is plenty of eras where motivated players can play. Lots of choice. If they are demoralized with CE, they can just make a new colony somewhere else. If they decide to keep playing CE, they apparantly decide to spend their playing and boosting time on CE. Doesnt matter if its on E6 or any other era right? And yes, some people will want a break, which is normal. Many players take a break from time to time.

In any case.

If you dont like to play CE anymore, just spend less time playing. But dont complain. Just dont log anymore if you are demoralized, or stop whining and play.

Yes, people will get bored and want to quit playing BD. Whether it's through 5000 ticks of a single era, or through playing multiple eras simultaneously and/or back to back. That doesn't mean they "hate the game" and won't come back after taking a break.

Bad attitudes and flaming go along with many eras, not just CE. I can remember quite a few eras where people have literally gone INSANE over the way things play out during the game. Much worse than anything I've read on the forums from this era.



Your points are not specific to CE and don't give reason for taking away what CE was meant to be for many people. A no tick limit era where 1 alliance must reign supreme.

I am not for ending the era because the powers that be do not want to do their jobs. I only signed up because this was a unlimited era where 1 alliance holds all of the relics. The possibilities were endless. An alliance can come up from the ashes and win the whole thing ect. Would make for a great story and great funding for the mobile; however, with rules being overlooked, changed, manipulated (on both sides lets call a spade a spade) only to have the goal of the game changed is a bit absurd. The reason I was attracted to a unlimited era was because since the first day I started playing, I have said many times.......I wish we had 2000 more ticks to finish off a alliance. This false advertisement is not only demoralizing for those (once again both sides) who invested money, personal time, family time, work time, sleep time, lost their job (because caught dawning at work), I think you get the picture, it is proving that this era was a complete waste of time and the before mentioned. Like many that are still playing this game, I am moving over to Clash of Clans and if you are upset with FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, I suggest checking the game out. Its a phone app that already works, not one that will be broken out the box. People voted for all 1 alliance to have all 10 relics and were ignored. Just one of the many things that I have come to dislike about the game as a whole. If you do change your mind, I do suggest new admins for the CE being that not only are the players getting burned out, the admins are as well and it is being reflected in game play areas. That is my 2 cents.
