Does a shield delay a nuke?

If someone attack with an army and a nuke.. on the same tick..

What I'm hoping to do.. is use the shield to delay the army, hope the nuke goes through the shield, dodge the nuke with my troops then recall them after the nuke hit to defend the incoming army
