Why is the battledawn server busy problem occuring?.
This is happening quite often. :twisted:

The problem seems to be increasing.

Hey there, welcome to Battle Dawn! Some common reasons and remedies for 'server busy' and/or 'server under maintenance' can be found in THIS thread. Good luck solving your problem, if you have any further problems feel free to post back here!

The causes:

The "Server Maintenance" error is one a player will typically get when the connection to the server is being interrupted or reset. This will happen when we are actually doing maintenance of course, but the game client will view this issue uniformly, and will throw the same error even if that is not why you get it.

Other reasons (aside from actual maintenance) that you will get this error are:

Crossing URL Sessions - If you play on BattleGalaxy, you may be playing on battlegalaxy.com or galaxy.battlegate.net without realizing it. If you stay in the "battledawn.com" URL range (http://galaxy.battledawn.com and http://battledawn.com respectively) then you should be able to cross between the two games without interrupting your browser session with the server.

So, in summary, if you are playing Galaxy 1 on the URL battlegalaxy.com and you log into the forum on battledawn.com for instance, then you would then get the server maintenance error as your session had been reset with the server and that is what it interprets to you.
Connection Interruption - This can be a common problem with mobile broadband connections and wifi in general, but can affect wired broadband services too, albeit a little more rarely. In the case of mobile broadband, often your service provider will change towers without you knowing it which can end up giving you a different IP address without a moment's notice. If you were casually browsing, you may never notice, but in the cases of sessions with servers, losing connection to the original IP will most likely reset your session. This can sometimes happen with DSL or dynamic IP networks as well.

In many cases, this error is thrown because something somewhere between our servers and the player is just causing hell for the connection and causing it to time out. In these cases there is little that can be done to remedy it unfortunately. Nature of the Net Beast I guess!
Firewall / Antivirus issues - Your firewall could be blocking the cookie that our server is trying to send you, and so can your browser or antivirus. I promise we aren't going to send you anything you don't want, so adding an exception for battledawn.com in firewalls and antivirus programs can sometimes make a world of difference.
Cache & Cookie refresh issues - Our final choice is a classic. You will be amazed how many of the most common glitches suffered by net surfers can be fixed by simply clearing the browser's cache & cookies & restarting your browser. If none of these descriptions seem to fit your scenario and you are experiencing this issue, you can of course, post here, or you can PM an admin should you see one online, and describe exactly what you know sets you apart from these issues and we can try to work on a fix or at least try to isolate the cause for future reference.
