Nukes do kill 10% of squads they target.
This is what was written in the wiki page.
so do nukes only target some squads?
why?
and how?

EDIT: also, how should i use nukes to maximum benefit?

Do they kill armour units first?
or is it random?

The nuke targets ALL squads on the target and eta 1 from the target.

When the nuke hits each squad that is sitting on the target and eta 1 away from the target will have 10% of troops inside it destroyed and the rest of the units will have their HP reset to 1.

(Note that squads landing on the SAME tick as the nuke are NOT affected)

okay......great!
so will 3 nukes at the same time kill 10%+ 10% of remaining +10% of remianing?

Sorry, really can't help you with that question.. :(

Last time I played, if multiple nukes landed on the same tick they only dealt 10% fatalities so you had to send them one tick after another. Though, a while ago I heard that there was a ninja update which changed this - I can't be sure if it was true or not though.. We'll have to wait for someone who's played recently to help us out. :?

yes they will (iv shot 10 nukes at a relic and still had to fight men on it therefore they must not hit at same time).

Also squads moving TO the OP are not affected (even if they are eta 1 from it when the nuke hits). It is only squads on or moving away from the OP

As for the 3 nukes.. If you send 3 nukes, the formula for what is remaining is:

Initial troops * 0.9 (10% lost to nuke) ^ 3 (amount of nukes.

So in this case, you would have 72.9% of the original units left.

heres a tip:
when nukes are coming at you, move every unit out to allied outpost/colony/camp when missiles hit u none of your units die!!
but some workers get killed :(
ion cannon=10 random units each
ion cannon= destroying a missile
nuke= damaging every unit to 1hp
nukes!! damaging workers which decreases growth and units to 1hp.

thats why when a nuke hits a colony it sometimes gets smaller because some workers are killed

you look like a newb when you are very small!! ;)

Yes if you send nukes arriving on the same tick it will double the damage acording to the amount of nukes.
