for every crystal your alliance controls, your resource production increases by 0.2. So if ur alliance has 5 crystals, you get +1 resources/tick. You get crystals by reaching a powerscore of 20, and by taking them from other people. Hope tha thelps.

If u get a crystal while conquered, it can still be taken, Yes. It makes you a big target though, so make sure you have a nice amount of units to defend it with

1 crysal=0,2=1metal/oil
2 crystals=0,4=1 metal/oil
3 crystals=0,6=1 metal/oil
4 crytals=0,8=1 metal/oil
5 crystals=1=1 metal/oil
6 crystals=1,2= metal/oil
