If you attack a rebelling colony and you yourself are not the conqueror, but the conqueror is outside of your alliance, does the colony become yours? Or does it remain conquered by the original conqueror?

If you attack a rebelling colony and win the battle (should there be one) you quell the rebellion, but the colony remains in the conqueroroès hands.

No. If you win the battle, the rebellion is quelled. But you dont get the conquer.
