So there are special worlds where the alliance cap is set to 1 or 4, and then there are all the normal worlds....

Now originally I thought x2 tick servers were all set to an alliance cap of 14 to compensate for the increased speed, but now I've realized there are x1 tick servers that also have an alliance cap of 14.

So what's the deal with the alliance cap? I don't understand the logic of the current setup.

It's the other way around, 12 for 2 tick, 14 for 1 tick ;)

Yeah... I got it backwards Ferr3t, been a while since I played a 2-tick server.

But my question remains. Fantasy 4 is a 1 tick server with a 12-member cap

All the single tick earths that I've played have had 14 member caps

I believe the cap is based on the map.

Mars and Fantasy generally have 12 member caps. While Earth has a 14. Because Earth is the Largest battlefield and generally has more players and more room.

Of course sometimes the admins mix it up...

That's what I think. It seems logical too, seeing as you'll need more players in a big map such as Earth to expand and make a round interesting enough.

The cap is based on a few factors.

On custom servers, the cap is decided at will by the admin before the round begins. This will be announced by the admin upon reset of the world.

For the others. the cap is decided by map size only.

Earth servers are to be 14 members, while the smaller Fantasy and Mars servers have 12 member caps.

To my knowledge, no other factors are considered at this time.
