My squads have about 50% infantry (damage upgrade ),30% vehicles (damage upgrade) and 20% tanks (armor upgrade),is this a good combination of unit types?

I dont think that you should mix units like that. For tanks most people do a 7/3 sqaud build. 7 range and 3 armour.

For one thing, many people make the mistake of building more than one chassis type. You should stick to one chassis type to give the full advantage of that type against an opposing army. But you can have a specialized (by that I mean smaller) group of units of another chassis to combat certain other unit types that would otherwise destroy your main army.

I would suggest unsing infantry for their cost (both in production and in replacement) as well as the ability for a player to create a sizeable and effective army out of them (allowing players to branch out more, conquer more, and get more scores). a ratio of 9 Armour: 21 Ranged is generally effective, but find out what works best for you.

Vehicles are also good; they're like a middle-ground of sorts. Not too expensive, and yet they pack quite a punch. And since most players (inexperienced and experienced alike) tend to think that tanks are the final word in unit types and build them as a main chassis, your vehicles would be at an advantage with their bonus attack power against tanks. 1 Armour: 3 Ranged is recommended, but again, try out different combinations.

Tanks suck lol. :) But seiously, they're decent at general defense and small-scale conquering, but otherwise, they aren't worth their while. They might be durable, but they are costly to build and replace (especially with overhead) and they are really oil-consuming to transport (only 10 per squad; against 15 for vehicles and 30 for infantry). If you do decide to go with tanks, 1 Armour: 3 Ranged should work (I don't really use tanks, so I don't experiment with combos for them), but again, what works best for you.

Anyways, take your pick.
