I just started playing this game (today is my 5th day), i get 2 or three squads together, which seems to take forever, then i get attacked by a player (like the last) who has 21 squads, How are we supposed to build an army and be able to play if we use all our resources just trying to get started over and over and over again? I understand we are going to be attacked, but this is ridiculous.

Normally, stronger players only attack you once maybe twice just to conquer you and/or take your beginning crystal. If you're attacked after that the person is just dumb wasting their time and efforts attacking someone for no benefit.

There are global boosts for this reason though. Every other day typically depending on how rich of a server you're on you'll get a bonus 3-10k metal and oil to help you build up.

Well, most stronger players will want to go the easier route first to establish their prestige and power; and of course a newer player with a crystal, fresh off the inital protection stage, with only a few squads for defense would be optimal. New players have it rough here, but should you stay, your conditions and skill should get better with time and practice; like any other thing.

Don't give up, your conqueror will leave you alone after taking your crystal so take this opportunity to build up your army and economy. Once you have a decent army (5-7 squads) rebel with your troops on your colony and your conqueror won't want to fight your squads and let you go free. Now you can join an alliance in the top 10# and share their squads for protection. Any other questions message me on MSN: [email protected]

BTW - It's important that you get all of your resource buildings up to level 5 ASAP, this will give you a MASSIVE advantage while you're building your army.

I've got most of my buildings done, I've got about 3 more to go, getting enough metal is the problem there, even when i get a bonus, i usually only have enough to build one building, i use the rest for troops (ex 5000 for building, 678 for troops). I have no crystal, that was taken the first day I played the moment out of protection. It was like a blood hound on a rabbit trail... lol, but i did expect that, it's the attacks after that with the higher up that kept me down, i play a lot of games, and there is usually a little "courtesy grace" for newbs to give em a fighting chance, the guy finally left me alone, i guess he finally figured out i wasn't worth fighting right now. As far as an alliance, most of the stronger alliances only want high ranking players, the lower ones can't defend against the stronger empires, so i am still looking for a good alliance (maybe something in the middle with a little strength in defense)
