As Ferr3t said earlier there are more pros to Infantry than any other chassis. It recovers from spies quickly, has nothing that has a bonus against it, and I am pretty sure that it recovers from missiles as well. You need to keep a balance though considering their lack of HP. You said (FA) that armor INF can have higher HP levels meaning more health. True they're great for defense (it's what their meant for) but there's no offense. For INF chassis maintain a 3:1 ratio (3 range to 1 armor) and almost NEVER use damage (have someone else explain the damage situation). I recommend going to AANC if you continue to have questions because the mentors there can help new players with outstanding success rates.

This is not correct, if the enemy is using tanks, explosives will be hit first. If the enemy is using vechs, beam will be hit first and if the enemy is using inf then the concussion will be hit first.

That's incorrect. Battle sim shows that expl gets hit first, no matter what, then beam. Shame on you ferret. I expected better from a mod. Tsk, tsk, tsk. (TSK is awesome) :P

With that in mind, let's see what battle sim says. Pitch 30 conc infs, 30 beam infs, 30 expl infs against 10 conc tanks, 10 beam tanks, and 10 expl tanks, all range. Because the expl units get his first, tanks get hit for extra damage for far less time than the infs, who get hit for extra damage by the conc tanks for the entirety of the battle. Because of this, tanks end up winning by a significant margin, 9 units, almost a full squad.

Furthermore, tanks require less reinforcements than infantry and save units in small skirmishes. 4 conc infs take out 1 armor in a 9/21 probuild, while 4 expl infs fail to do anything to a 3/7 tank.

Also, tanks are easier to exp train.

Now, going back to my previous point. Twilight and ferret mistakenly believed that as tanks do not have a bonus to inf, they are inferior. However, having established that they do, tanks now hold a serious advantage in the current metagame, as it is filled with infs and tanks. While infs get hurt most by the half of the metagame that uses tanks and having no bonus (aside from low health?), and vehs gets hurt by the half using infs and only countering tanks, tanks, with a weakness to any of the two most popular chassis and countering infs, tanks are, assuming the two popular chassises are most widely used, clearly the superior chassis where bonus damage is concerned (yeah that was a run-on sentence. sue me).

Right you are Daerduo! But What the heck does this mean!?

From the wiki~
Finally, units with Anti-Tank (Explosive) weapons will be targeted before units with Anti-Vehicle (Beam) weapons, and units with Anti-Infantry (Concussive) weapons will be targeted last. This is not the case 100% of the time, but for the most part it holds true.

What!? What happens when it doesn't hold true?! wth

Here's the battle system (Left to right in order of hit first)

Chassis (Inf, Veh, Tank) <---*decided by weapons of opposing forces*
Upgrade (Arm, Dam, Rng)
Weapon (Exp, Beam, Con)
HP (Least HP remaining - Most HP remaining)
Exp. (Least - Most)

Based on this ^^^^^ Model you can see the order things get hit 90% of the time.

However on occasion when Exp, HP, and weapons are thrown in they can sometimes by pass the upgrade.

For example.

If your Armored Beam has 64 exp. They may take damage AFTER your Armored Concussive if the concussive are hurt and have no exp.

Even though according to the chart the Beam should die first, it's not always a certainty.

Which can throw your battle plan off. Or even cause you to lose if you need those beam squads to fight some Vechs.

i honestly find it halarious that no1 has pointed this out yet BUT if u pay attention to a big battle what anti unit types die 1st? the anti tank weapons are the 1st to die while the anti infantry units die last which is infantries 2nd disadvantage and a big 1 which makes it almost like a 25% bonus against infantry bcuz while the infantries anti tank dies the tanks anti infantry is still alive

The reason why most alliance use tanks is because of huge HIT POINTS.

Make a sim battle with 3 laser armor soldiers vs 1 laser armor tank.

They both do the same damage and have the same health. What'st he difference?

When the soldier squad takes 8 points of damage, they lose 2/3 of their fire power. That means they only doing 4 damage now compare to the armor 6 damage. That's the tank big advantage.

I think soldiers are the worse units because when they take damage, they lose a lot of fire power.

I think this game is like rock paper scissor. If everybody build a balance army with no weakness then battles will base on pure fire power.

Ok... Someone agrees with me???

Tanks x vecs x infantry same type Explosive Long or Explosive Armor

10 tanks - 30 Soldier -> Soldier Won (kick tank ss)
10 Tanks - 15 Vehicles -> Vecs Won (small advantage)
15 veics - 30 Soldier -> Vecs Won ( small advantage)

Tanks x Vecs x infantry concussive long or armor

10 Tks x 30 Sd -> Tks Won (kick Sd ss)
10 Tks x 15 Vcs -> Tks Won (kick vecs ss)
15 Vcs x 30 Sd -> Vcs Won ( kick Sd ss)

So... Tanks Always Concussive and Vehicles always explosives... i dont have a good reason to use Infantry...
