why do colonies look different. for example, One colony is small while another has a tower in the middle.

Well crystals Not always, relics you get a kinda outlining on ur colony also go to the wiki. http://wiki.battledawn.com/index.php/Colony

I think when you spend your resources too your colony grows smaller. I relocated in Fantasy before and my medium sized colony became small.

The center of a colony changes as structure are built in a colony. ex: farm 1-> 2-> 3-> 4-> 5

Not necessarily, it's based on the workers and resources as far as i know.
