SO i have been conquered most of the ERA, fine no worries, and im waiting to join an alliance. In order to better mark and see whats going on i created my own alliance. I then got invited by an alliance and informed the leader i needed to wait 24 ticks to join them since i was leaving the alliance i created for myself, and myself only. First off, why do i have wait 24 ticks? Second now i cant relocate for 72 ticks because the control of the colony gets reset? WHY? What is the point, and how do you avoid this silly rule. I am conquered by an ally so if i asked for liberation would that work or would that reset the colony control again and i would have to wait longer to join my new alliance. Side note, IF you u are on your own you should get the same marking capability as leaders w/o having to create an alliance.

It is kind of probably like a backup plan in case you of something for the 24 tick thing not sure it gives you time to decide if there is more then one alliance that wants you for the next piece of the question it may or may work if you ask to be liberated it all depends on the conqueror and i do not believe it will reset your 24 ticks you have to wait

The purpose of the 24 tick delay is to keep players from leaving an alliance and immediately joining another one.
Say my alliance is attacking yours, if a member of your alliance leaves and joins me in the same tick that would be the end of the war. As we our alliance would be right in the middle of yours, and we could attack and defend from that colony.
The "colony control" ticks would reset again if your are set free.
They are the reason you have to wait 72 ticks to rebel, and 24 ticks to use your teleporter (Even at home) and a few other things like relocation.
It's all to keep the game semi-stable. If you could relocate your colony at will, you'd never need an army. Just 3 or 4 op's to run to when you get attacked.
To avoid the issue in the future....
Relocate before joining an alliance or rebelling, since they both reset your control ticks, if you're going to relocate you'd better do it first or you'll have to wait 72 ticks, it's only 24 to join an alliance. (and that's separate from the colony control ticks so you could do both in the same tick) But not the other way around.
But you're right I think individuals should be able to mark stuff on their own, and that they should be erased when they join an alliance.

These features are implemented to avoid abuse. You have to wait 24 ticks to join alliances so you cannot simply join a rival alliance and they use your colony as a staging ground for attacks on the alliance you were in, among other reasons. The 72-tick relocation also works on a similar principle; if you can relocate immediately, then you also can be used as a staging area. Also, immediate relocation means that you can run away frequently, leading to tedious cat-and-mouse games.

i understand all that, but my problem is ive been conquered for close to 200 ticks. MY 72 tick came and went then when i left my alliance the 72 tick reset as well as the 24. I was released and that did nothing, still have to wait a brand new 72 ticks. Once i get conquered the 72 tick count should start and it shouldnt matter if i join or leave an alliance, thats what the 24 tick count is for. I tired to relocate before i joined the new alliance and thats when i found i out i had a new 72 tick count from leaving my alliance, couldn't be from when i got conquered because Ive been conquered for more than 200 ticks. MY conqueror was nice enough to release me since he is an ally. He released my at tick 30 of my new 72 tick count, problem with that is that i built all my units next to the alliance im joining and i have no units to protect my liberated colony so as soon as anybody wants they will reconquer me and than ill have to wait another 72 ticks to do anything. i understand the rule, but the 72 tick count should not reset, it stay in place from the tick you first get conquered.

Yes, when you leave an alliance, your control ticks reset to 0. So although your 72 ticks that you had to wait to rebel passed, you leaving the alliance reset them, so now you have to wait them again

I know it seems unfair, but you should make something of your control ticks. They aren't there to look at. Use them to your advantage.
