 Post subject: how do you "sell" your protection?

When they say sell your protection, do they mean by going out of protection by moving your units out of your main colony?

When you're in protection, there should be a shield button on the left side of the screen, which brings you out of protection early, in exchange 3x the amount of ticks you had left in production boost.
