Is a heat shield the best thing to use? Right now I'm using heat shield because it works, but i'm wondering if there's a way the energy shield can be used in a good build higher up?

I have seen it used. However, I generally use an energy shield but I use a heat shield with dragon because it has such good heat stats already. If you want to be using a lot of heat/physical weapons, you need at least one heat module. Otherwise, you can use energy.

It's only the dragon I use heat shield. I've found with all other mechs it's pretty useless, so when i got to using the dragon I was surprised ^_^
