Why does the red rain have the exact stats as the backstabber, only different range..? it just seems a bit weird to me.

Completely Different, I have all the backstabbers and i got red rain yesterday
I think the main reason why players would use it, It deals allot of heat damage, good enough amount of damage and the range is 3-5. That pretty different to other top weapons, and it only uses 10 Rockets. I dont really know what to use it on, Because i use dual Needle Blasters and a wipeout.
But yeah, Thats other peoples choices what they use it for (:
