Most top players in SM use kits because they have huge amounts of SM credits and can afford to use them, however when other players who can't buy kits for every battle and matched against top players, they are forced to use them anyway, which wastes the limited supply of credits they have. A good way to fix this would be to reduce the cost of kits (cost is for highest level kit):

Repair Kit = 300 Credits
Resistance Kit = 500 Credits
Ammo Kit = 200 Credits

By heavily reducing prices of kits like this, they will be affordable by every player and do not give an advantage to the top players who can afford them for every battle. :)

Or just get rid of the things all together.

Or only allow them to return your resist to it's starting value and not increase your resist above what comes from your torso + module(s).

Kits are so unnecessary.

eh, honestly I'm neutral on this. I've used kits to no avail before, and they've also saved me a few times. In the upper ranks, players are able to decimate up to 200+ hp in 1 go with a little luck in their enemies placement. I remember having a guy say "gg you're dead" to me cause I had 30 hp left and he had 230. Then I got 2 lucky high dmg hits and my drone finished things off.

There are so many circumstances to consider honestly. The biggest thing I've noticed to cause issues for me are the high resistance kits. But even with those, I don't see that much issue. Most mechs that've used high resistance kits against me would of decimated me anyways with their builds and high xp weapons/armor

Frankly I'm fine if they stay in too. I'm one of those that has more than enough SM to use kits as freely as need be. However, being on the other side of that would really tick me off.

A resist and repair kit (the most common combo) cost 4,500 SM/match. If you don't have a premium account you can use both every 5 matches and basically keep an even keel (with virtually nothing left over to buy BC). If you have a premium account this goes down to every 3.

If you are in the top couple % of mechs you are likely able to use kits this infrequently and do just fine. If you are a mech who floats between rank 1 and 2 you are likely needing to use kits much more frequently than this (which is a financial impossibility).

So with kits in place the top mechs are clearly advantaged due to their ability to better afford them. If you take kits out all together you create a more even playing field as the financial advantage doesn't let you buy wins - let's face it, +25 resist vs no kit is a virtually guaranteed win in an average match.

TL;DR - having kits gives an advantage to those that can afford them, getting rid of them gives an advantage to no one.

I'm afraid that that's always going to be a problem. Besides kit spammers are always annoying. And lower ranks can easily deal with it. And sometimes kits are just a waste of a turn. And besides, they have a ton of kits due to buying. So if you want alot of kits and good items, you can buy and support the game.
